We are called to love others....but a lot of us, especially us moms, take it to a whole new level by trying to please everyone too.

Sometimes loving someone they way they NEED to be loved vs they way they WANT to be loved will make them mad at you...and that my friends is ok!

Sometimes it’s more loving to say “no” to our loved ones or friends. Like when your toddler wants to leave the house in January wearing flip flops.

But saying no can be difficult. Join me on Friday at lunch time for a quick “Soul Care Workshop” where we’ll talk about 5 different ways to say no in a loving way....not only to show love to others, but also to yourself. Let me know if you’d like an invite.

We kinda love books around here. 📚

At some point last year I signed up for a Prime Children’s Book subscription on a whim. It’s only $20, and every other month they send me two new kids books perfect for Ace.

It’s always a fun treat to open the box and see what stories are inside. Today’s box did not disappoint. Thanks ._higgins for another funny story! We loved Mother Bruce, but I think we might love We Don’t Eat Our Classmates more. So cute!

Some more sneak peaks into my laundry process and Spring Cleaning + Organizing tips.... learn the method! It honestly saves so much space!

Initially I thought, who had time to fold like that!?? But once I cleaned out my drawers and got rid of all the excess, it is easy and I actually kinda enjoy it (and I used to hate laundry!) We don’t have tons of clothes, which helps it from becoming overwhelming. We just have enough PJs for Ace to make it through a week, and about the same amount of pants and shirts. I have a semi-capsule wardrobe. And John wears a uniform to work. So we don’t need a ton of clothes. 🙌

And I’ll say, I’m not new to the whole train - I’ve been folding this way (and loving it) for several years now!

So....are you going to Spring Cleaning?

but feeling productive 🤷‍♀️ So, I guess it’s a great day.

✔️ laundry is going
✔️ groceries put away
✔️ bed stripped to change sheets
✔️ living room vacuumed
✔️ coffee being consumed
✔️ working being done

If you could only do three things today and still feel like you accomplished something, what would that be?

Mine: 1) wash sheets and towels, 2) grocery shopping, and 3) make gummy worms with Ace.

Two out of three already is pretty good!
