Let’s talk about dining out. To what extent do you risk going out or do you just opt to stay home. I personally am a pretty sensitive celiac and highly reactive. For quite a while I stopped going out when I was first diagnosed and when I did go out I felt like I was always getting sick. (dating myself back over 20 years right now) Although in the passed 15 or so years I decided I wasn’t going to keep missing out and started talking up more when I went out and asking all the questions. Now I refuse to miss out, I still ask all the questions and gather all the information I can when I go out. Ill admit there are places I go I still don’t trust so I will eat before/after going and just go along for the company and enjoying a night out. Although I find now we have so many more options then we used to, thankfully the gluten free diet isn’t so much of a fad diet as it was 20 years ago and restaurants are taking it more seriously. I find at most places I am able to find something I can eat (even If its just a salad), but I find we are thankfully having more and more options now when we go out.
