Is your horse not quite right when ridden? Has he had a change in behaviour? Or maybe they just deserve a treat? A sports massage session can help to treat and prevent soft tissue injuries, and there are many benefits.

£40 for a session, or £35 for 2 or more horses at the same yard on the same day. Discounted block bookings also available - great for horses in rehabilitation, on box rest, or those who would benefit from regular treatments.

They cannot tell us the pain is here, or if I do this, it hurts. They cannot tell us if the pain is sharp or aching. They cannot tell us...

What is Equine Sports Massage Therapy?

Equine Sports Massage Therapy is a holistic and therapeutic application of professional sports massage techniques to aid in the prevention and treatment of soft tissue injuries. As a therapist, I will look at and treat your horse as a whole, considering all possible causes of any problems or tension. During the session each muscle is isolated and massaged using a variety of different massage techniques, and any trigger points are released when found. Massages can be used for maintenance, rehabilitation or problematic behaviours, and the benefits are many:

  • Enhances muscle tone

  • Increases range of movement

  • Reduces inflammation and swelling in joints
