We are grateful to the team at KOKH FOX 25 News, Oklahoma for educating Oklahomans on a very important bill that was up for a hearing today, HB3737, which addresses the issue of insurance companies refusing to count co-pay assistance program payments towards patients' out-of-pocket maximums. HB3737 passed out of the House Insurance Committee today and will be up for another vote within 2 weeks. Click the link below to read about HB3737 and the surprise pharmacy bills it aims to tackle.

In 2019, Oklahomans for Step Therapy, a coalition of patient groups from around the state came together to pass a landmark bill that allows patients quicker access to more effective medical treatment as prescribed by their provider. Building on that extraordinary success for Oklahomans, the group has grown and re-emerged as the Oklahomans for Patient Access Coalition to continue advocacy on behalf of citizens across the state.

The Oklahomans for Patient Access Coalition is made up of more than a dozen groups including: Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, Oklahoma Nurses Association, Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund, Acromegaly Community, American Diabetes Association, Oklahoma Pharmacists Association, American Cancer Society, Arthritis Foundation, National Hemophilia Foundation, National Infusion Centers of America, Oklahoma Society of Clinical Oncologists, Alliance for Patient Access, International Foundation for Autoimmune and Autoinflammatory Arthritis, Immune Deficiency Foundation, and Mended Hearts.
