đźš–đź’“ Introducing the Taxi-Cardiac Emergency Response (TCER) Initiative by Boro Cars Scarborough đźš–đź’“
We’re excited to launch a life-saving project right here in Scarborough: our taxis are now equipped with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and our drivers trained in CPR, ready to respond to cardiac emergencies!
👉 What’s Happening? 🚖 Boro Cars is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a commitment to not just transport our community but to safeguard it. Each TCER-equipped taxi will be a mobile emergency response unit, aimed at drastically cutting down response times in critical situations. Lauching in July 2024
👉 Why It Matters: Every minute counts in a cardiac emergency, and with often only two ambulances available for over 70,000 residents, our community needs more rapid response options. TCER is here to fill that gap and increase survival rates.
