A little mid week musing.

Sometimes the path splits.

Not because you’re lost,
but because a part of you is ready for something different.

One path may be familiar shaped by survival, responsibility, old roles, coping patterns.
Another may feel quieter, less defined guided by what your body, nervous system, and inner wisdom are softly asking for now.

Both paths belong to you.
Both were once protective.
But only one may truly support your wellness today.

Wellbeing isn’t about forcing the “right” choice.
It’s about listening to which part of you is leading
and whether that part is rooted in safety, fear, habit… or truth.

Which part of you is choosing your path right now and what does that part need to feel safe enough to choose differently?

Pause. Breathe.
Your body often knows before the mind catches up.

We physically collapse long before we emotionally realise it.

Shoulders round.
Chest sinks.
The weight of the world settles.
And the breath follows.

This isn’t just posture, it’s a full-body felt sense and tense.
Your nervous system reads it.
Your tissues remember it.
Your breath adapts to survive it.

There’s a lot of talk about breathwork for emotional release.
Some of it is powerful and true.
Some of it rushes healing, promises catharsis, and delivers short-term results.

Healing isn’t something to force.

So let’s talk about breathwork from a physical perspective.

Breathwork isn’t a one-trick, wailing process.

True breathwork:
• Softens and rehydrates fascia
• Restores rib and spinal movement
• Improves oxygen and cellular health
• Supports the core and pelvic floor
• Signals safety so the body can release naturally

This is breathwork as a whole-body experience.
Organic. Intelligent. Regulating.

So ask yourself:
Are you breathing to get something out
Or to come back home?

If you’re ready to experience breathwork that honours the body not bypasses it this is where real change begins.

Slow. Safe. Integrated. Whole.

This treatment Tuesday, I Choose Reik, and ask Why Reiki is needed now more than ever

Life recently may have asked a lot of us.
Not always loudly but deeply.

The nervous system has been carrying timelines it was never designed to hold.
Grief, pressure, acceleration, uncertainty, expectation.
Even joy has required effort.

Reiki is not something we do to fix ourselves.
It is something we allow so the body can remember.

A Reiki session is a pause in a world that keeps pushing.
A bridge between the mind that copes
and the wisdom the body already holds.

It meets you where words end.
Where breath softens.
Where the system finally feels safe enough to release what it has been holding alone.

This year, Reiki is needed because:

• your body has been strong for too long

• your heart has adapted quietly

• your nervous system deserves rest, not resilience

• your energy wants coherence, not correction

Reiki doesn’t ask you to understand.
It asks you to receive.

To lie down.
To be held.
To let the intelligence within you reorganise, recalibrate, and restore.

Not to become someone new
but to return to yourself.

If your system feels tired, stretched, disconnected, or quietly calling for support,
that is not weakness.

That is wisdom

I talk about energy often… and yet it never quite feels like enough, because energy is not something to understand with the mind alone it’s something we experience.

Everything is energy.
Our bodies, our thoughts, our emotions all of it is moving, vibrating, alive.
Each vibration creates a frequency, and that frequency is constantly shifting depending on what is happening within us.

Every cell in the body has its own natural rhythm. When we are well, regulated and at ease, those rhythms are coherent they communicate clearly with one another, like an orchestra in tune. This is what we experience as balance, clarity and ease.

When something is off stress, emotion, injury, illness or pain that rhythm changes.

Think of a headache.
A head that feels clear and comfortable is vibrating in an organised, harmonious way.
A head in pain is vibrating differently the signal becomes distorted, erratic or compressed. Pain doesn’t just hurt; it interrupts communication. It pulls energy into a loop of alarm, contraction and protection. The frequency narrows, and the body stays stuck in that signal until it feels safe enough to soften again.

Pain lowers coherence.
It creates noise in the system.

This is where sound becomes such a powerful medicine.

Sound is vibration you can feel.
When a pure tone enters the body, it meets the disrupted frequency and gently invites it back into order. The body doesn’t have to try to heal it remembers how.

Tuning forks work on this exact principle.

Each tuning fork holds a precise frequency, measured in hertz, and that frequency carries information. When you apply a tuning fork to the body or the energy field, you are introducing a clear, stable signal. The nervous system recognises it as safe, predictable and organised. In response, the body begins to entrain it starts to match that frequency.

This is called resonance.

The fork doesn’t force anything.
It offers a reference point.

Different forks speak to different layers physical tissue, organs, the nervous system, emotional patterns and the energetic field. Some tones ground, some soothe, some open, some clear stagnation. Together, your set of 12 forks becomes a language each one saying something slightly different to the body, depending on what it needs to hear.

This is why sound therapy feels so deeply regulating.
It bypasses the thinking mind and speaks directly to the cells.
It reminds the body of its original rhythm.
It restores harmony where pain, stress or life have disrupted the flow.

Healing, at its core, is not about fixing
it’s about remembering the frequency of wholeness and allowing the body to find its way back home.

Have you experienced running forks in any sessions with me?

A little Monday motivation,
“Choose You”

The Value of You & Self-Love

Romanticising your life isn’t about aesthetics or being seen.
It’s about choosing yourself quietly, intentionally, daily.

It’s taking yourself on solo dates.
Sitting in coffee shops with your thoughts.
Buying yourself flowers just because you’re alive today.
Waking early to move your body, not to punish it, but to honour it.
Cooking yourself dinner as an act of care, not obligation.

This is self-love without an audience.
No performance. No validation. No proof required.

When you begin to treat your own life as something precious,
your nervous system softens.
Your self-worth roots deeper.
And happiness stops being something you chase
it becomes something you cultivate.

Not for people to see.
Just for you.

So as we start this week schedule in YOU for a walk, for dinner for something. Choosing you slowly starts to reshape your relationship with your mind, body and spirit.

The “What Are We Waiting For?” Effect

Have you ever caught yourself saying:
I’ll go to the gym when I lose weight.
I’ll work on myself when I’m older and have more time.
I don’t have time for me, I’m too busy looking after everyone else.
When I retire, I’ll finally take up photography.

It’s always I will…
And then comes the reason.
Then the excuse.
Then the waiting.

I’ve said all of these many times.
First comes the desire, then the judgement, and then the waiting for the perfect moment.

But here’s the truth:
There is no perfect time.
No perfect opportunity.

There is only time. used… or wasted.
And tomorrow is never guaranteed.

I used to dislike the phrase “This isn’t a dress rehearsal you only get one life.”
It felt too confronting, too close to our fear of mortality.
But as the years pass, I feel the weight of the years already gone and the uncertainty of those still to come.

When I sit with the promises I didn’t keep to myself…
The parts of me I delayed…
The version of me I believed was out of reach or “too much”…

I now see what truly stopped me.

Not the obvious excuses.
But the quieter truths.
The hidden shadows.
The inner voices that subtly told me every day what I couldn’t be or couldn’t do.

For a long time, I searched for quick fixes.
I bought things, distracted myself, stayed small, masked the discomfort.
Each time there was a short-lived change… followed by the same loop.

Real change came only when I committed to the work.
All of it.

And that’s what I offer now.

Not quick fixes.
Not surface-level talk.
Not short-stay car parks for your pain.

I work holistically and therapeutically mind, body, nervous system, and soul.
I look where most people are afraid to go…
Because that’s where the answers live.
Deep within you.

So if something in you is stirring…
If you’re tired of reading how others can transform you…
If you feel the call to become your own healer…

Maybe it’s time to step forward and say:
“I’m ready to transform myself.”

And my role?
I walk beside you.
I guide.
I hold the space.

If this resonates, bring your awareness inwards because Soulstar & Self Recovery the silent rebellion maybe your next chapter only if you are ready to “begin”

16/01/2026

May I take a few moments to ask you something,

"If this moment was your starting point for self-recovery… what would you do differently right now?"

Not tomorrow.
Not when life is quieter.
Not when you feel “ready”.

Right now.

Because self-recovery doesn’t begin with big declarations or dramatic change.
It begins in the present moment the only place your nervous system can actually feel safe enough to shift.

So pause for a second.
Notice your body as you read this.

Are you holding your breath?
Clenching your jaw?
Rushing to the next thing?

What would change if, just for this moment, you chose to meet yourself instead of pushing through?

Self-recovery might look like:

softening instead of striving,

resting instead of proving,

breathing instead of bracing,

choosing truth over habit,

There are answers already within you not in your head, but in your body.
The work is learning to slow down enough to hear them.

So I’ll ask again, gently:

If this moment was your starting point for self-recovery… what would you do differently right now?

Stay with it.
Let the answer rise.
This is where the coming back begins.

This image really stopped me in my tracks.

Not every confrontation is with the adult in front of you…
sometimes it’s with the wounded child within them.

How often do we react, feel triggered, or stuck in familiar patterns and assume it’s about the present moment?

Yet so many of our reactions are rooted far deeper.

Our thoughts, beliefs, emotional responses and even our stress patterns are often shaped by earlier experiences that were never fully processed. What looks like frustration, defensiveness, shutdown or overwhelm in adulthood is frequently an old protective response doing its best to keep us safe.

This is where Root Cause Therapy becomes powerful.

Rather than managing symptoms, it gently explores why we think the way we do, where certain beliefs were formed, and what the body is still holding onto. When we combine this with somatic release and breathwork, we create space for the nervous system to soften, for stored emotion to move, and for new choices to become available.

Many people I work with say:
“I don’t want to keep reacting like this.”
“I know these patterns are limiting me.”
“I feel the weight of something old that I can’t quite name.”

If that resonates, it may be time to look beneath the surface.
To meet the inner wound with compassion rather than judgment.
To release what no longer serves you.
And to allow change to happen not just cognitively but safely, through the body.

Maybe this is your invitation to explore Root Cause Therapy and somatic breathwork.
Not to fix yourself but to understand yourself more deeply, and live with greater freedom.

The grounding -Silent Rebellion
A nervous system realignment for mind, body & energy. £62.00 Available NOW

Why Grounding Is Essential
In a world that pulls us upward, outward and keeps us constantly Switched on or fiercely wired, many of us are living from the neck up.
Disconnected from our bodies. Disconnected from our breath. Disconnected from the earth beneath us.

When we are not truly grounded, the mind races, the body holds tension, emotions feel overwhelming and we live in a state of subtle survival even when life looks “fine” on the outside.

This treatment is designed to bring the mind and body back into alignment, restoring a sense of stability, calm and inner steadiness like placing your feet firmly back on the earth after drifting for too long.

Benefits of The Grounding Treatment
Calms an overactive mind, reduces anxiety and stress responses.
Supports nervous system regulation, Increases body awareness and presence.
Releases stored tension, especially in legs, hips and lower back, creates a sense of safety, stability and inner steadiness. Enhances sleep, digestion and emotional balance
Helps you feel rooted, centred and supported

The Grounding
Treatment Journey.

Crystal Grounding to start, Your feet are placed into a crystal foot spa a sacred grounding vessel filled with carefully selected precious and grounding crystals. Without water, the crystals work directly with the energetic pathways of the feet, supporting:
Root chakra activation
Earth connection
A felt sense of stability and support, here we tune into the lower chakras with a sense of sound.

This begins the process of drawing awareness and energy downwards, anchoring you into your body.

Guided Grounding Meditation
A gentle, guided meditation invites the mind to slow and the body to soften. You are guided to, Drop awareness from the head into the body. Feel the weight of your body being held, Connect with the earth beneath you and create a sense of inner safety and containment

This meditation sets the foundation for deep regulation and receptivity.

Somatic Breathwork for Regulation
A slow, intentional somatic breathwork practice designed to support the nervous system not to push or activate, but to settle.

Breath is used to Lengthen the exhale and Signal safety to the nervous system whilst Releasing stored tension and Increasing embodied awareness

This allows the body to shift out of survival and into rest and repair.

Grounding Massage with Wooden Rollers & Sound
The massage focuses on grounding strokes using wooden rollers, working rhythmically through the body particularly the legs, hips, back and feet.

Wooden tools Encourage deep sensory feedback. Help the body feel solid, supported and contained whilst Promoting lymphatic flow and muscular release

Throughout the massage, grounding sounds are used low tones, earth frequencies, or gentle rhythmic sound supporting deeper integration and embodiment.

The combination of touch, sound and rhythm helps the body fully settle and integrate the experience.

15/01/2026

Self-recovery means owning all of you.
Not just the soft, calm, socially acceptable parts
but the anger, grief, resentment, fire, sadness and truth too.

Every emotion is information.
Every feeling has a purpose.

When we allow ourselves to feel
to step into every chapter and every version of who we’ve been
the body can move, process, release.

Breath deepens.
Muscles soften.
Energy flows.
The nervous system feels heard.

But when we don’t
when we bury anger, silence ourselves, ignore our needs to keep the peace
the body has to carry what the voice couldn’t say.

It shows up as:

Tension,
Fatigue,
Disconnection,
Chronic stress patterns,
A nervous system stuck in survival,

The body never forgets what the mind tries to bypass.

Self-recovery is not about “staying positive.”
It’s about staying honest.

Let your anger exist.
Let your sadness speak.
Let your joy be big.
Let your boundaries be firm.

You are allowed to feel all of you
in every season, every chapter, every becoming.

At Soulstar, healing begins when nothing in you is exiled.
This is where the body finally gets to exhale

14/01/2026

A new year often arrives with a lot of noise.
Big promises. Big plans.
The pressure to change everything at once.

But beneath all of that, there’s usually a quieter question:

What would actually help you feel better this year?

Not more effort.
Not more discipline.
But more regulation. More space. More support.

When was the last time you stepped into a space where you didn’t need to perform, push or be anything for anyone else?

A space where your body was listened to.
Your nervous system was considered.
Your breath was guided gently not forced.

At Soulstar, this is what we offer.

Our studio is a place to slow down and come back into yourself through intentional practices like breathwork, qigong, somatic movement and nervous-system-led sessions. Everything is designed to meet you where you are whether you’re depleted, disconnected, overwhelmed or simply longing for something softer.

This isn’t about extremes or transformation overnight.
It’s about regulation before expansion.
Safety before release.
Choice over pressure.

People come to Soulstar to unclench.
To breathe without needing to “do it right”.
To wake their qi gently.
To feel held, supported and cared for in body, mind and energy.

This is luxury that feels human.
Wellness that feels accessible.
A return to yourself that unfolds in your own time.

If you’re ready to begin the year differently not louder, but truer our studio doors are open.
