If you’re skeptical, I get it…

It’s perfectly reasonable to wonder if trying to change the way that you eat and feel will be any different this time. Chance are you have tried to change things before and it hasn't worked and now you find yourself worried about prediabetes.

I wouldn’t expect you to dive in headfirst without a little evidence that this actually works first... and that is what I am about; evidence based nutrition that works.

1. We know for a fact that correct diet and nutrition are essential to stop diabetes. This doesn't mean just knowing what to eat, the real key is about doing it and doing it consistently. This has been proved time and again to get long lasting results.

We all have one...

That list of things you know you need to do but have been putting off way too long. I call it the “Someday Maybe” list, and I can probably guess what’s at the top of yours.

If you’re like 99% of the people in this group, it’s this:

- Change the way that I eat so that I can avoid getting type 2 diabetes

For a long time, I really struggled to know what to eat.... well, actually, it was more or a case of knowing what I should eat but struggling to do it consistently.

So what finally changed for me?

I studied nutrition and nutrition coaching and learned how to put systems and habits in place that made eating healthily simple.

I managed to move eating healthily and improving my well being from my “Someday Maybe” list to my “It’s All Done” list.

I want to help you do the same thing.

If you have prediabetes or are concerned that you might be developing prediabetes then I know that you need to move eating well onto your "It's All Done" list.

That's why I created The Prediabetes Habits For Life Programme.

This programme has everything you need to prevent the onset of diabetes. It will help you to know what to eat, how to control your blood sugar and to make lasting improvements to your health and well being.

Habits are the key to reversing prediabetes. They are the driving force behind what we eat, the way sleep, how active we are, how committed we are and almost all behaviours that dictate our health.

Just imagine what your life could be like if could change those habits that stop you achieving what you want to.

Changing habits takes time, commitment, support, knowledge and must also be enjoyable. Habits wont stick if they mean taking away everything in your life that you enjoy

One thing that I find fascinating is how people find out that they have prediabetes….. and also what advice they are given about preventing Type 2 developing.

The advice on prediabetes seems to be so varied.

Someone asked me: Why is white meat preferred to the red meat?

It's not a simple question to answer. Personally, I think it is healthy to have a balance of both.

Hunger is something that fascinates me. It’s not just a physical thing, it’s mental too.

Think about it.

If you were watching a program about polar bears does it make you hungry? Probably not (maybe a little).

If you were watching a program about cake would it make you hungry? Probably (maybe definitely).

Think about this next time your think you are hungry. Are you physically hungry or mentally hungry.... or just eating cos you are board. 😎
