Meet Addison Kemp who is currently battling a rare fatal bone marrow disease - Aplastic Anaemia As it stands Addison body does not produce enough blood cells.

Meet 5-year-old Addison who is in urgent need of a Bone Marrow transplant. Despite hopes that her sister Crimson would be a match, we have just received the devastating news that she is not

As we wait for results from the global donors list, the ongoing costs to Addison's family are growing. She does not produce enough platelets, so can bleed out if she has a cut and no neutrophils, so no production against virus, bacteria and fungus. As Addison embarks on her Aplastic Anaemia/BMT journey this will leave only one working parent at home with her little sister Crimson and another at the hospital with Addison. This will be a long journey, should everything go well of 2 years and possibly more. We are also reaching out to friends and family members to consider being tested and joining the register. Donors must be between the ages of 18 and 35

Blessed to have foundations like Quality who send families who’s children have been effected by cancer to have some time to recoup, be a normal family and this time spend some time with friends we met along the way outside the hospital. Truly amazing!!

25th June 2024 at 10:54pm, this is the photo I took of Addison. She had only been home a few hours and we was so happy she was home and both the babies taking over the bed.

It’s when I noticed how saturated she was in sweat.

It was only a few minutes later I had her straight to hospital after a phone call to the hospital

She didn’t have a temp, felt cold and was soaking! It’s not always the science, bit what you see.

I still jump up when she is awake. Did it tonight!

Have to remind myself, she’s good, just a kid needing the toilet.

The trauma is hard and real! But we have Addison and Crimson. I’m thank full for our journey, because its brought us strength, a warrior and a force to fight for better for others!

Thank you Camp Quality for our first holiday in nearly 3 years.

Addisons journey hasn’t allowed us to go in public, let alone relax. Even if we wanted to our finances looking after a sick child has not allowed for it.

This trip was everything for us! Especially Addison and Crimson 💖
