I’ve been very MIA on here because this upcoming social media ban has me in all sorts 😂 like what’s the point of putting effort in, when it will be all taken away? 🫡

Ps. protecting children? all for it. Do I believe it’s for that reason? Absolutely not. Does the digital ID notion give me the ick? Heck Yes.

So how are you navigating it? What are your thoughts? Am I giving up for nothing 😂

I remember really struggling with breaky when I was pregnant with #2 - rushed mornings & nausea just weren’t a great combo. But dear god, the fatigue was real. 🫠

SO, back to basics (for breaky, or a snacky snack) because something like this is definitely better than nothing!

💫 A full fat Greek yogurt, a good quality hydrolysed collagen powder, some muesli & frozen berries + a drizzle of raw organic honey. 💞

✨ Protein, amino acids, vitamin C, zinc, calcium (priceless when you’re breastfeeding), some probiotics, antioxidants & sugars.

It doesn’t have to be complicated!

Ps, if you’re DF, a coconut yoghurt is a great alternative (just check the ingredients cause some can be full of unnecessary extras) 🫶🏻

Packaged & processed foods, everywhere & ironically, mainly marketed at children.

I sound like a broken record, I do but I can’t help but think they’ve created this rushed world so intentionally, because what gives first?

Our health.

We compromise good REAL food for fast food, packaged snacks & processed convenience with clever labels.

And then we wonder why we have sick children, overweight teenagers & adults on ozempic.

We need to do better. ❤️‍🩹

Every Sunday I make a fresh batch of my ✨Iron-Rich Chia Berry Jam✨ to get us through the week ~ my toddlers absolutely 👏🏻 LOVE 👏🏻 it!

It goes on everything… stirred into oats, spread on sourdough, over ricotta, even drizzled on pancakes or in yoghurt. 🥞🍓

The best part? Just 1 tbsp has around 1.5–2mg of heme iron (from grass-fed liver powder) + vitamin C from the berries and lemon to help your body absorb it. 🌿

👶🏻 Is your little one grabbing at food, but isn’t quite ready for solids yet? Try this little handy hack!

Prop your little one up with a towel for some extra support in their high chair & hand them a peeled carrot (or the wide part of a celery stick). 🥕

It’ll allow them to model your eating, practice those mat to mouth + grasping skills without actually having to digest anything!

It’s also great for those sore gums.

(& you get to enjoy your food in peace) 😏

⚡️ Ps. Once those chompers start peeping through, you want to ensure finger food is being prepared safely (soft enough to squish between your fingers).

Whilst an incredibly frustrating part of the food journey, almost 👏🏻 every 👏🏻 child 👏🏻 does it!

But whyyyy!? In babies ~ they are curious, learning about the world around them & food? Well that’s just another thing to explore. 🫣

We do want to nip it in the butt, and the best way to do that is with the tips in the slide!
