Grief is WILD Y'all.

One minute you’re fine…the next you’re crying in the grocery store because you passed a bag of oranges. (🙋‍♀️-me, that one was all me. Oranges made me cry.)

And then 10 minutes later you’re laughing at something completely unrelated.

No one really prepares you for that part.

Speak it. Type it. Let it exist outside of just your thoughts. Let the world hear it.

To my sisters not tied to me by blood—

Thank you for always being constants in my life.
For encouraging me… ESPECIALLY when you don’t fully understand what I’m doing.

You have helped shape me into the woman, the mom, Lovey, and the doula I am today.

Each of you has held me through loss, heartbreak, hard seasons, and the days that just felt too heavy to carry alone. You’ve dropped what you were doing to show up for me—no questions, just presence.

I learn from each of you.
Patience… even when you’ve got nothing left.
Trusting myself… especially when I’m swallowed by doubt.
Love...it really is the great connector.

You’ve shown me that love is real—the deep kind of sister love that can really only be felt, not explained or given words.

You’ve picked me up on days I didn’t think I could keep going.
You’re not afraid to tell me when an outfit looks terrible…and then turn right around and remind me how capable I am. I have THE BEST hype team behind me.

My “Core 4”—your love and support is something I carry your love with me everyday.
I love you all so much.

P.S. I do tell them this… but today felt like a good day to say it out loud here too.
