Rice isn’t bad 🍚
But eating the wrong one every day is ⚠️

Same carbs
Different blood sugar spikes 📈

Your plate looks the same
Your body reacts very differently

Diabetes is built on daily habits
Not single meals

💡 One Can, Two Outcomes
Normal Coke spikes blood sugar quickly. Coke Zero avoids the sugar surge…. but it’s still a sweet, carbonated drink. Not a health drink but a smarter choice for your blood sugar.

Neither is something I encourage as a daily habit. Carbonated sweet drinks, even sugar-free ones, can train the taste buds to crave sweetness and keep the habit going.

If you must choose, Coke Zero is less harmful for blood sugar than regular Coke. But water, plain tea, or unsweetened drinks are always better choices.

👉 Choose smarter today and protect your sugar tomorrow

Diabetes isn’t just about sugar.
It’s linked to cancer too. ⚠️

No one tells you this:
🩸 Constant high blood sugar = chronic inflammation
🧬 Inflammation can fuel cancer growth

This isn’t fear-mongering.
It’s information most people never hear.

Small daily habits can change your future.
Ignoring it can cost you everything.

💬 Did this surprise you?

💡 Sugar-Free Doesn’t Always Mean Blood-Sugar Safe

It’s easy to assume “sugar-free” equals healthy or harmless but your blood sugar doesn’t always agree. Sometimes what looks safe can still affect your blood sugar.

The good news? Small, mindful choices make a big difference. Paying attention today helps you stay in control tomorrow.

👉 Make smarter choices, stay mindful, and keep your sugar steady!

💡 Diabetes complications often sneak up silently.

You might feel fine, eat well, and check your sugar… but your body could be sending quiet warnings. Eyes, feet, kidneys, heart, and nerves can be affected long before symptoms are obvious.

The good news? Small, consistent actions today can prevent serious problems tomorrow. Check your sugar, inspect your feet, and go for routine screenings. Your future self will thank you!

💬 Which screening do you tend to forget most…. eyes, kidneys, or feet?

So True 😍

This page is a space for ALL people living with diabetes — Type 1, Type 2, LADA, gestational, or any other form. We’re here to learn from each other, share experiences, and support one another through the ups and downs of life with diabetes.

Kindness matters! No one chooses to have diabetes, and no one deserves blame or judgment. Let’s lift each other up instead of tearing each other down.

Whether you manage Type 1 with insulin or Type 2 with lifestyle changes or medication (or anything in between), your story is valid, and your journey matters.

I am posting this now because we have had incidents recently where comments have been unkind to people living with Type 2 diabetes (or outright bullying).

It is valid to be frustrated that people don’t know the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, but there is NO reason to ever comment that “Type 2 diabetes is self-inflicted.” It helps nobody and only increases the stigma around living with type 2 diabetes.

The US government has just released an updated food pyramid 🇺🇸
And it changes how we think about “healthy eating”.

This pyramid shows:
🥗 What your body needs more of 🥩
What should stay occasional 🌾, not daily

The flipped pyramid is a sign of progress 💪🏽

Because small choices, repeated daily,
make the biggest difference ✨

💧 High Sugar? It Might Start with Water.

Many diabetics focus on carbs, sugar, or meal timing but forget the one thing your body depends on every minute: hydration. Low water wrecks your metabolism, which can silently push your sugar levels higher, even if you’re eating clean.

The scary part? Dehydration often creeps in quietly. No big alarms, just random spikes, fatigue, or that “off” feeling you can’t explain.
Hydration isn’t just a tip, it’s one of the easiest ways to support better glucose control. Swipe to see how something as simple as water can make a real difference.

💬 Do you notice higher readings when you don’t drink enough water?

Drop a 💧 in the comments if this surprised you.

STOP doing “detox” and extreme resets. They usually make things worse… cravings, rebound eating and unstable sugar.

Here’s a realistic reset that actually sticks
✅ Add before subtract - build habits, first, not punishment.
✅ Simple Malaysian-friendly swaps.
✅ Snack strategy so you don't fail.
✅ A 30-minute buffer rule for meals, events, and dinner invites.
✅ Don't ignore the big two: Sleep & Stress
✅ Know when to check your numbers.

Supplements = Scam?🤔

Are they really effective, or just another marketing gimmick?

❓Can supplements treat diabetes?
⚠️ What are the dangers of relying too much on them?
💊 Do they play a role at all in managing blood sugar?

In this clip, I break down the truth behind supplements and diabetes.

At the end of the day, nothing replaces:
- Nutritious food
- Lifestyle changes
- Proper medical care

Remember, for Type 2 diabetes, lifestyle modification isn’t optional, it’s essential !
