Let’s open the conversation. 💬

Human trafficking can appear in plain sight, even in the dental setting. Many clinicians feel unsure or unprepared to respond, and that’s exactly why we’re hosting a Q&A today.

✨ What worries you about identifying trafficking in your clinic?
✨ Unsure what signs to look for?
✨ Afraid of saying the wrong thing?
✨ Not confident about reporting?

No judgement. No pressure. Just a safe space to ask, learn, and build confidence together. 💙

Drop your questions in the comments. Your voice helps create safer, trauma-informed dental environments. ☺️

In healthcare settings, recognising the signs early can save lives. Dental professionals see patients regularly and are in a unique position to notice emotional, behavioural, or physical changes that may signal distress. Understanding how serious this issue is helps providers respond with confidence and care.

Take a few moments of your time to learn how to respond with confidence and compassion by taking this course. 💙

For patients with a history of trauma, even routine dental visits can feel overwhelming. The sounds, sensations, and vulnerability of being in the chair may trigger past experiences of fear or loss of control.

As trauma-informed dental professionals, our goal is to minimize retraumatization and create a space of trust, comfort, and safety. 💙
