The story goes that during the plague outbreak in the 15th century, a group of thieves were caught robbing from the dead bodies.
Their secret to evading contagion, despite obvious exposure, was using a blend of clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary oils.
In 1996, a lab test found a commercial “thieves” oil formula had a 90% effective rate against airborne bacteria.
My favorite is to rub on hands and neck during airplane travel, and we also use it clean countertops.
There are obviously commercial blends available but you can also make your own.
Mix all of the following ingredients together in a dark glass bottle, and add oregano, thyme or tea tree oils if you wish.
