Turning the page in 2021 by adding this book to my morning journaling habit. I got more consistent with this morning practice in the last few months, but I felt drawn to push a little more on this area. There were mornings I felt stuck.

So far I am enjoying the additional self-exploration the daily prompts are pushing me towards.

This habit has created quite a few opportunities to connect my thoughts and work through areas I struggle with and I want to continue to work towards making this a daily habit.

Reflection is a powerful thing. I didnt realize I had actually lost a lot in December because I was focused on the last two weeks where I had gained 1.2 pounds. I freaking lost over 9 pounds in the craziest work/family/ life month of the year.

WTF.

If I can do that I can do anything!!!!

I know where and why I went off track in the middle of the year. I lost my focus and was tired all the time. So I got lazy about - tracking, meal prepping, working out consistently. I started not paying attention to how much wine was being poured in my glass at night or that it was just about every night I deserved a treat.

A new year is the chance to wipe away the mistakes from the prior year and focus on priorities and my 2019 priority is my health and fitness. I’m going to be over here and kicking ass on my way to achieving my weight loss, fitness and health goals.

I am so damn proud of myself for what I accomplished this year. Am I where I hoped I would be? Nope, but I am better than I was 365 days ago. I am down net 25 pounds this year. I started out strong last January but faltered around April and gained back a lot of what I lost. After an indulgent vacation in October I felt awful and did not want to wait until January to start over. So I recommitted to myself on 10/22 through my busiest time of year. Work us nuts, holidays are crazy, we have birthdays in our family too and through it all I stayed focused without killing myself and still enjoying a lot.

As I head into 2019 I’m ready to kick some ass and make it to goal this year. I will be living my best life and embracing every bit of it!
