6 February 2026 - Aktiviti santai unit

Alhamdulillah..
Aktiviti santai ukhwah ini telah berlangsung dengan jayanya dalam suasana penuh kemesraan dan kebersamaan.Program ini bertujuan mengeratkan lagi hubungan silaturahim serta dapat memperkukuhkan semangat kerjasama dalam kalangan warga unit.Terima kasih kepada semua yang terlibat.Semoga ukhwah ini terus dipelihara dan diberkati...🤍

Alhamdulillah, Junjung Kasih Tuanku 🙏

Hampir 6 bulan pengoperasian, lebih 400 sesi telah berjalan dan 30 pesakit mendapat manfaat daripada rawatan terapi oksigen hiperbarik di bawah seliaan kerjasama Angkatan Tentera Malaysia dan Unit Perubatan Hiperbarik Hospital Pakar USM.

Congratulations to Dr. Masykurin and Dr. Syahmi!

Both have successfully completed the Operational Underwater Medicine (Level 2D) certification at Stellenbosch University, Cape Town, South Africa.

This intensive program is accredited by the European Diving Technology Committee (EDTC), the Diving Medical Advisory Committee (DMAC), and the European College of Baromedicine (ECB). It equips medical practitioners with the skills to provide operational medical support for divers and commercial diving companies from chamber drills and emergency management under pressure to hands-on exposure with diving gear, saturation systems, and underwater operations.

By completing Level 2D, they have now earned the title of Diving Medicine Physician, a significant advancement from Level 1, which carries the Diving Medical Officer designation.

The course brought together participants from across the globe, representing diverse fields such as occupational health, public health, ENT, internal medicine, emergency medicine, aviation medicine, and neurosurgery. Beyond the academic and practical training, they also built valuable professional networks in the diving and hyperbaric medicine community.

Despite this remarkable milestone, both doctors remain commited to their primary role as Emergency Medicine Physicians, serving patients on the frontline while expanding their expertise in diving and hyperbaric care.

Unit Perubatan Hiperbarik, HPUSM telah menerima kunjungan daripada pelajar Malaysia Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Education Program (METNEP). Lawatan ini memberi pendedahan mengenai peranan Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) dalam penyembuhan luka serta kefahaman tentang fungsi Transcutaneous Oxygen Monitoring (TCOM) dalam menilai tahap oksigenasi tisu.

Semoga perkongsian ini dapat memperkukuh pengetahuan dan memberi manfaat kepada para pelajar dalam amalan klinikal mereka. 🌸

📌 4/9/2025 - Throwback CME PHC Pre Hospital Care HUSM x UPH

Sesi perkongsian menarik tentang TCOM (Transcutaneous Oxygen Monitoring) bersama PPP Afifee. Perkongsian ini memberi pendedahan mendalam tentang kepentingan TCOM. Kaedah ini penting dalam bidang perubatan hiperbarik kerana ia membantu menilai tahap oksigenasi tisu secara objektif. Melalui penilaian ini, rawatan hiperbarik dapat dirancang dengan lebih tepat, khususnya dalam pemantauan keberkesanan terapi serta menentukan potensi penyembuhan luka kronik.

The journey to make the 1st National Symposium on Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) & Wound Care happen, was far from easy. We faced challenges, setbacks, and moments where it almost felt impossible. But we stood together, found solutions, and gave our all. And in the end, we made it happen. To every committee member, thank you for your hard work, commitment, and teamwork. This success belongs to all of you.

History made in Kuala Lumpur!

From 5–7 August 2025, at USM@KL, M*F Incorporated Tower, we proudly hosted the first-ever National Symposium on Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and Wound Care. This wasn’t just a series of lectures. Over three days, participants experienced a complete learning journey: two full days of in-depth talks and case discussions, followed by exclusive hands-on sessions and guided clinical visits to leading HBOT and wound care centres. The symposium was the result of a strategic collaboration between Hyperbaric Medicine Unit of Hospital Pakar USM, Healing Chambers of Asia (HCA), Hospital Angkatan Tentera Diraja Malaysia, and the Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professionals (MSWCP), bringing together expertise from multiple sectors for the first time on a national platform.A heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible committee members, whose dedication from start to finish was the backbone of this success, and to our generous sponsors; HCA, STARMEDIK, MDC, SM Healthcare, AIN Medicare, Bayu Setia, and MAEM for their invaluable support.
