This part right here>>>>>>>> Just because a supplement has made it on the shelf doesn’t mean that it’s safe or even does what the label promises. In fact, before a supplement is marketed to the public, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not have the authority to verify if it’s safe or effective.

The FDA can only remove a supplement from the market if it has been found to be unsafe (by the manufacturer or consumers) or makes false or misleading claims.

With so many pills and potions to choose from on the supplement aisle of your local pharmacy, grocery, and vitamin stores, how can you decide

So if I'm being honest this is one that I've been struggling with lately, SLEEP.

Sleep is essential for a healthy heart. People who don't sleep enough are at higher risk for cardiovascular disease and coronary heart disease—regardless of age, weight, and exercise habits. Getting adequate and quality sleep is important if you want to lower your risk of this condition.

Without long, deep periods of rest, certain chemicals are activated that keep the body from achieving extended periods in which heart rate and blood pressure are lowered. Over time, this can lead to higher blood pressure during the day and a greater chance of a cardiovascular problem.

Today, I challenge you to start a new habit of getting a minimum of 7 hours of rest, starting tonight❤

Exercise is a MUST for a healthy heart! Cycle, Walk, Swim, Hit the Gym, just do something to get your heart rate up and the blood flowing! When you exercise you strengthen your heart so that it can pump more oxygen. It also helps to train our heart muscle to become more efficient and be able to better pump blood throughout our bodies. If you engage in vigorous exercising you should limit your activity to 5 hours a week or 60 minutes a day. If you are doing the moderate-intensity physical activity it is recommended that you do two hours and 30 minutes per day.

Join me for a one day 4-mile on Sunday. You can walk, run, or cycle it's totally up to you. You just need to do a minimum of 4 miles on Sunday.

Today is world heart day. And Sadly, Heart disease is the No.1 cause of death worldwide🌎. In the U.S 655,000 Americans die from heart disease each year—that’s 1 in every 4 deaths.

And one person dies every 36 seconds in the U.S. from cardiovascular disease. EVERY FREAKING 36 SECONDS!?!?

This has to change, this can change! Heart disease is mostly preventable by changing your lifestyle and managing your risk factors. This week I'll be posting some tips on how you can prevent becoming statics and how to better care for your heart.

How do you take care of your heart? ❤ Comment below with a gif showing me how you take care of your heart.
