As we approach the full on festivities of Christmas 🤶 remember to take some time to look after you too.
I have a relaxing way to start the day. Coffee, journal & the pups sitting on my lap as I look out on my garden. I love seeing the changes & watching the sun rise as a way to embrace each new day.
What do you do to start each day? Often having no plans works wonders too - your welcome 💛🧡💚

When was the last time you checked your B12 levels?
As we age we often lose the ability to absorb this essential vitamin from our foods. Also some prescription drugs may impact on absorption too.
If you’ve lost your appetite are constantly tired these could be a lack of B12 in your body.
I started to take a higher dose of this essential vitamin & already noticed a difference.
My 93 year old Mother has had weekly injections & has seen the benefits

Who remembers Dr Rangan Chattergee went to live with a family where the Man was so exhausted he was watching the clock to see what time he could go to bed, he had very little energy, had lost his appitite & still felt exhausted after a full night sleep. He had been signed off work by his GP. Long story short his B12 was quite low but to confirm the diagnosis he run a Homosysteine test, they sat down at the dining room table as a family & he was told he had B12 deficiency, all the family were stunned, he said himself, he thought he was dying from something they would never be able to diagnose. Dr Chattergee gave him a B12 injection there & then to start a course for him & his recovery. There was no mention of Folic acid so I think we have to assume he also was encouraged to get his folate levels up. The Man returned to work after his loading doses & was so releaved he was able to return & provide for his young family once again.

An interesting article around protein intake. How many of us make sure we have enough protein with each meal?
As a Health Coach helping us over 55’s stay healthy I always recommend eating more protein daily. It helps us stay fuller longer, less likely to snack & helps rebuild muscle which is so important to age well.
