Today in Bogotá I had the chance to share one of the most important messages I’ve ever presented — a message about truth, vision, and the future of regenerative medicine.
I spoke about how our current medical system was designed to manage symptoms, not to heal. For decades it has built an economy around chronic treatments and lifelong dependence. Regenerative medicine breaks that logic — it’s about restoring function, reversing conditions, and helping patients truly recover.
I also talked about the reality we face in Latin America. In Colombia, as in many countries, we’re still trying to regulate 21st-century science with 20th-century laws. And yet, the country has everything it needs to lead this field — brilliant doctors, advanced clinics, and patients ready for progress. What’s missing is the vision and the courage to move forward.
At ISSCA, that’s exactly what we’re doing: speaking the truth in love, building bridges between science and clinical practice, and forming a generation of doctors who believe in medicine that regenerates, not just maintains.
The revolution in regenerative medicine is already here. My role — our role — is to make sure it keeps growing with ethics, evidence, and purpose.
Grateful to everyone who joined us in Bogotá. The movement continues.
