Central Florida Retina is a privately owned retina practice proudly serving patients across Orlando, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Oviedo, Kissimmee, and Port Orange. Central Florida Retina (CFR) and The Macular Degeneration Center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Retina and Vitreous diseases. In addition, CFR includes The Macular Degeneration Center, Central florida’s only clinic to focus on the leading cause of vision loss in adults over 50 years of age. CFR is a leader in the region for Vitreoretinal medicine participating in many national clinical trials. The goals are to help advance medical research and science, making available to CFR patients the most advanced treatments and procedures. CFR is committed to maintaining a high standard of excellence through our well-trained and professional staff. Our caring environment enables our practice to strive and deliver individualized care to each of our patients.

👁️✨ Yesterday, Dr. Kumar met with the wonderful Solivita residents for an educational afternoon all about Understanding the retina and learning how to protect your sight as you age.

He shared important insights on retinal health, age-related changes, and steps everyone can take to safeguard their vision. The talk wrapped up with a lively Q&A session, where residents asked thoughtful questions and gained a deeper understanding of their eye health.

Our Story

Our vision depends upon the retina. When macular degeneration and other retinal or vitreous problems occur, patients and eye care professionals turn to Central Florida Retina (CFR).

Our expertly trained, board certified physicians offer the latest techniques and innovations through surgery, clinical trials and research. For over 40 years, our vision has been to provide the most advanced and compassionate retina care.

Our specialties include conditions that affect the retina such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, retinal tears and detachments and uveitis.
