OCS Philippines gathered for its combined October and November Townhall and Monthly Bash, beginning with a holy mass and the blessing of the new Operations Office. The team then came together for a shared meal before moving into the main program.

This month’s safety talk focused on hypertension, highlighting the importance of early awareness and practical steps colleagues can take to support their health. The discussion reinforced OCS’ focus on maintaining safe and healthy workplaces.

The program also welcomed new colleagues and celebrated the birthday celebrants for October and November, strengthening connection across teams.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of two OCS True Star awardees, whose actions demonstrated the values of Trust and Unity. Their honesty, leadership and consistent reliability reflect the behaviors that strengthen our culture and positively impact the people and customers we support.

The townhall also discussed the launch of the 12 Days of Sustainable Christmas activity in the office, which will begin on December 1 and encourage meaningful, sustainability-focused participation across the team.

The gathering concluded with a surprise celebration of International Men’s Day, where male colleagues received a small token and joined a fun raffle that awarded three complimentary haircuts.

The event brought together updates, recognition and shared moments that continue to build a strong and connected OCS community. 🧡✨

A Moment for the Men of OCS Philippines!

During the recent OCS Philippines townhall, the program took an unexpected turn as colleagues paused to recognize International Men’s Day. Many of our male team members were genuinely surprised to learn a segment was prepared just for them.

Each gentleman received a small token as a simple acknowledgment of the responsibilities they carry at work and beyond. To add a fun twist, three lucky men also won complimentary haircut vouchers through a raffle that brought plenty of laughs.

To the men of OCS, thank you for your strength, humility, and steady support. We appreciate the work you do and the heart you bring to our teams, and we know you still have that soft and cheesy part that makes you uniquely you.😍

OCS Philippines has opened the extension of its new Operations Office, marked by a simple blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony led by OCS PH Managing Director Phil Carter, COO Mario Pagatpatan, and HR Director Jiezl Go.

The new space brings operational, support, and administrative teams together to strengthen day-to-day coordination and enable smoother collaboration across the business.

Hybrid Vehicle Added to Support Cleaner, Safer Operations in the Philippines🚔

OCS has added a new hybrid vehicle to the Philippines fleet, supporting the shift toward lower-emission operations and the long-term plan to transition fully to hybrid vehicles by 2030.

The vehicle strengthens day-to-day work including site visits, operational checks, and customer coordination. It reduces fuel use and lowers emissions, helping improve air quality and supporting safer travel for colleagues across local communities.

This addition also supports our ongoing work to reduce environmental impact across operational activities.

Growing a Greener Future Together

We recently joined the Million Trees Foundation in Quezon City for a tree planting activity. Thirty saplings were planted by team members from the head office and site operations, contributing to the foundation’s efforts to expand green spaces across Metro Manila.

The activity centred on practical environmental work that supports cleaner air and healthier surroundings for nearby communities.

This forms part of our ongoing participation in community initiatives that create long-term benefits for colleagues, customers, and the wider public.

Spreading Joy and Hope last Halloween 👻

OCS volunteers joined Child Hope Philippines for a Halloween celebration that brought joy, color, and connection to the children they support. Through games, art, and shared laughter, the afternoon became more than just a festive event; it was a reminder of what kindness and community can create together.

As part of the activity, the children expressed their Christmas wishes, from new shoes to hopes for a better future, each one reflecting their optimism and spirit. Older children joined in a cheerful “Pass the Message” game, and every participant went home with a bag of treats and a smile.

This initiative is part of OCS’s partnership with Child Hope Philippines, focused on supporting education and wellbeing programmes for underprivileged children. Together, we continue to make small moments of joy part of a lasting positive impact.✨

October began with OCS Philippines providing event support for the Twice Live in Manila concert last October 4. The team was deployed on-site to help ensure a safe and well-managed experience for attendees.

Before deployment, a safety briefing was conducted covering key areas such as crowd control, the nearest evacuation routes, scope of work for ticket validators, and the locations of water stations and first aid booths. Emergency contact details were also reviewed to ensure readiness for any situation.

Through preparation and coordination, the team reinforced OCS’s commitment to maintaining safe and efficient event operations.

We know that sometimes the most important conversations start with just three words: “R U ok?”

Before September came to a close, OCS Philippines came together on 26 September to mark R U OK? Day, shining a light on mental health and the power of simple conversations. Held at the OCS Training Room, the session guided employees on how to ask, “Are you okay?” with genuine intent, listen with care, and offer support when it’s needed most.

Guest speaker Mr. Christian Paul Pagal, Head of the Psychology Department at Rizal Technological University, shared thought-provoking insights on empathy and meaningful dialogue. Colleagues also joined in solidarity by adding a touch of yellow to their outfits: a visible reminder of our shared commitment to wellbeing.

Through initiatives like this, OCS Philippines continues to create an environment where kindness, empathy, and connection form part of the everyday workplace experience. 😊🧡
