Uthman b. Abu al-'As Al-Thaqafi reported that he made a complaint of pain to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that he felt in his body at the time he had become Muslim. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

“Place your hand at the place where you feel pain in your body and say بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ (Bismillah - in the name of Allah) three times and say seven times:

أعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru (I seek refuge with Allah and His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear).”

[Sahih Muslim 2202]

another version..

It was narrated that ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As Thaqafi said:

“I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and I was suffering pain that was killing me. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: ‘Put your right hand on it and say:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

Bismillah, a’udhu bi’izzatil-lahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru. (In the Name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and what I fear),”

seven times.’ I said that, and Allah healed me.”

[Sunan Ibn Majah 3522]

‘Uthman b. Abl al-As said that he came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). ‘Uthman said:

“I had a pain which was about to destroy me. So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Wipe it with your right hand seven times and say:

أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ

“I seek refuge in the dominance of Allah, and His might from the evil of what I find.” Then I did it. Allah removed (the pain) that I had, and I kept on suggesting it to my family and to others.”
