If you have one GAME-CHANGING goal before Quarter 1 ends… START DOING THIS.

Cognitive aromatherapy is on track to become a standard workplace wellness tool by 2030 and the data is already pointing in that direction.

During COVID, Hines (the global commercial real estate company) invested in a custom scent formula for their offices to encourage employees to return on-site.

The result?
✨ 12% increase in productivity
✨ Lower reported stress levels
✨ Higher willingness to return to the workspace

And here’s the kicker…that formula was a mix of synthetics and naturals.

Meaning... with a fully clinical, pure-essential-oil formulation, that number could have been even higher… and we know why.

Aroma bypasses logic and goes straight to the brain’s performance centers.

When the air supports focus, regulates stress hormones, and reduces cognitive load, everything shifts:

🧠 Fewer mistakes
🧠 Faster decision-making
🧠 Better task engagement
🧠 Higher retention and satisfaction

This is why senior living, healthcare, and corporate teams are now exploring olfactory-based performance protocols.

Not because it’s trendy but because the neuroscience is impossible to ignore.

If your Quarter 1 last-minute goal is better accuracy, calmer teams, and a workplace that quite literally thinks better…

THIS IS WHERE TO START!

The most UNDERRATED SOLUTION for staff burnout starts with something shockingly SIMPLE.

It really doesn’t have to be complicated.

Our olfactory calm protocols leverage neuroscience-backed aromatherapy to create micro-moments of regulation throughout a shift. These moments require no extra workload, no special equipment, and no clinical approval.

Just pure, fast, physiological calm delivered through aroma.

Here’s what makes our approach different:

🌿 Rapid nervous-system regulation

Aromas travel directly to the limbic brain—the control center for stress, memory, and emotion. Relief takes seconds, not hours.

🌿 Staff-centered design

Our protocols are intentionally built to be shift-proof, turnover-proof, and easy to adopt across teams.

🌿 Burnout reduction without burnout effort

Caregivers don’t need another training module. They need a tool that supports their biology, not just their responsibilities.

🌿 A calmer staff = better outcomes

When caregivers feel grounded, resident interactions improve, patience expands, and the care environment transforms.

Because burnout isn’t just a staffing issue…

It’s a human nervous system issue.

And when we help regulate the person behind the name badge, the ripple effect reaches every resident, every shift, every hallway.

If this is exactly what your community needs, MESSAGE ME. 🌿

I never thought I’d be talking about this so openly, but here it goes…

The amount of artificial fragrance in our everyday environments—stores, hotels, even healthcare settings—is overwhelming.

And for many people, it’s not just unpleasant.

It’s physically and mentally disruptive.

Every time I walk down a detergent aisle or check into a hotel, I’m reminded how normalized these synthetic scents have become… even when they don’t actually support our well-being.

That realization is a big part of why I do what I do.

I’m on a mission to help shift environments away from heavy, synthetic fragrance and toward clean, plant-based aromatics that actually support how people feel.

Because scent isn’t just about ā€œsmelling good.ā€

It directly impacts the nervous system, mood, and overall experience of a space.

What keeps me inspired every day:
🌿 Research — staying grounded in the science of aromatherapy and sensory environments
🌿 Awareness — noticing just how pervasive artificial fragrance has become
🌿 Conversations — hearing firsthand how intentional scent can change how people feel in a space

We deserve environments that don’t just smell good but actually feel good to be in.

If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to be part of this shift.

šŸ” Repost to bring more awareness to the environments we’re creating
šŸ’¬ Share your experience! How do synthetic scents affect you?

A few weeks ago in northern Arizona, I tried something that most people either love… or absolutely avoid.

A cold plunge.

The kind where you stand at the edge for a moment, take a breath, and question all of your life choices.

And then you step in.

What fascinated me most wasn’t the shock.

It was what happened after.

Within seconds, your breathing changes.
Your nervous system flips from resistance to regulation.
Your mind becomes incredibly clear.

Cold exposure is one of the most powerful ways to activate the body’s natural reset response.

And science backs up what people have felt intuitively for centuries.

Cold plunging can help:

• Reduce stress and anxiety
• Improve mood through dopamine release
• Support nervous system resilience
• Reduce inflammation
• Increase mental clarity and focus

In other words, it’s a biological reset button.

But here’s the interesting part for me.

Cold plunge, forest bathing, aromatherapy, grounding…

They’re all doing the same thing.

They signal safety and recovery to the nervous system.

And when the nervous system regulates, everything changes — mood, focus, resilience, and emotional balance.

That realization is a big reason I’ve dedicated so much of my work to clinical aromatherapy.

Because while we can’t put a cold plunge in every senior living community or workplace…

We can bring the regulating signals of nature indoors.

Through scent.
Through environmental design.
Through intentional sensory experiences.

I’m curious...

Who here practices cold exposure or cold plunging as part of their wellness routine?

And if you’re leading a senior living or healthcare environment and thinking about how to support staff resilience and mental wellness, I’d love to share how we’re doing that through aromatherapy at AromaWell.

Sometimes the smallest environmental shifts create the biggest changes.

šŸ’¬ Comment ā€œCOLDā€ if you’re part of the cold plunge club.
šŸ‘‰ Or send me a message if you’re curious how AromaWell helps bring nervous-system regulation into care environments.

Most people think serotonin comes from screens.

Scrolling.
Entertainment.
Constant stimulation.

But your nervous system actually responds best to something much older.

Nature.
Driving through forests.
Breathing in pine and juniper.
Watching sunlight move through the trees.

What most people don’t realize is that this is aromatherapy.

Trees release natural compounds called phytoncides, which research shows can:
• reduce cortisol
• support mood
• regulate the nervous system
• improve mental clarity

Nature has been practicing environmental wellness long before we gave it a name.

At AromaWell, we bring that same principle into senior living, healthcare, and hospitality spaces using clinical aromatherapy systems designed to support calm, focus, and emotional regulation.

Because environments shape how people feel.

And sometimes the smallest environmental shifts create the biggest wellness outcomes.

Message me and I’d be happy to share how AromaWell works.

šŸ‘‰Save this for the next time your nervous system needs a reset.

A few weeks ago I spent a weekend high up in the mountains of northern Arizona, along the Mogollon Rim.

Snow on the ground.
Ponderosa pines everywhere.
Sun cutting through the trees.

As someone who works in clinical aromatherapy, I always notice the scent first.

When you walk through a pine forest, you’re actually experiencing natural aromatherapy.

Conifer trees release compounds called phytoncides — aromatic molecules that protect the tree but also interact with the human nervous system when we breathe them in.

That’s why time in the forest feels different.

Not just peaceful.

Restorative.

Science now calls this forest bathing, or Shinrin-yoku.

But the benefits are surprisingly practical:

• Reduced cortisol and stress response
• Improved mood and emotional regulation
• Stronger immune function
• Better mental clarity and focus
• Nervous system recovery from chronic stress

In other words, the forest is doing what many wellness programs are trying to accomplish.

No apps.
No programs.
No productivity metrics.

Just the chemistry of trees interacting with the biology of humans.

That weekend reminded me why I care so much about the work we do at AromaWell.

Because the same aromatic compounds that exist in nature can also be intentionally brought into environments where people need them most.

Nature has always known how to regulate us.

Sometimes our job is simply to bring those signals back indoors.

šŸ‘‰ Save this as a reminder to get outside more often.
šŸ‘‰ Repost if nature is part of your wellness practice.
šŸ‘‰ I'm curious. When was the last time you spent time in the forest? Share in the comments!

šŸ’”Here’s what everyone gets wrong about essential oils:

Most people think you need an entire collection to start creating blends that work.

The truth? You only need three oils to begin your aromatherapy journey.

In this video, I share how a simple three-part blend can unlock your creativity, help you discover what resonates with your body, and even let you design your own therapeutic perfume.

Imagine walking away with a roll-on blend that’s not only unique—but also supports your well-being. ✨

This is the same approach we use in our blending classes, where everyone leaves with their own custom roll-on.

And if you’re not local, don’t worry—you’ll find starter kits and ready-to-use blends in my shop to help you experience the same joy at home.

If you’re ready to explore, click the link to my shop and start blending today: https://www.aromawell.com/

And if you’d love a more personalized experience, comment below or message me to set up a private blending class for you or your facility.

What if the air itself is worsening agitation in dementia care?

Watching a loved one battle dementia's agitation, confusion, and sundowning is heartbreaking.

Traditional medications often leave them groggy but never truly calm—while doing nothing to address the fear behind their distress.

The Fragile Cycle Every Caregiver Knows:

⤷ 4PM rolls around and the pacing begins
⤷ "Help me go home!" echoes down the hallway
⤷ Medication side effects create new problems
⤷ That haunted look in their eyes when they don't recognize you

We’d never let them drink toxic chemicals... yet most facilities pump synthetic ā€œair freshenersā€ full of hormone-disrupting phthalates that may worsen symptoms.

The AromaWell Way:

1. Choose the Right Aromas

Research shows these oils help ease dementia symptoms:
⤷ Lavender – Reduces agitation & promotes relaxation
⤷ Bergamot – Uplifts mood without overstimulation
⤷ Frankincense – Supports emotional grounding & cognitive clarity

2. Safe & Effective Diffusion

⤷ Use a cold-air diffuser (no heat, which alters oil properties)
⤷ Limit sessions to 30–45 minutes (2–3x daily)

3. Create Sensory Zones

⤷ Morning Calm: Diffuse citrus + lavender in common areas
⤷ Sundowning Support: Apply diluted vetiver to pulse points
⤷ Sleep Sanctuary: Spritz linen spray with chamomile & cedarwood

4. Personalize the Experience

⤷ Use familiar scents from their past (spearmint, rose, or lemon for nostalgia)
Observe reactions—if an aroma causes discomfort, switch blends.

5. Pair with Other Calming Techniques

⤷ Soft lighting
⤷ Gentle music
⤷ Tactile activities (weighted blankets, fidget tools)

Did you know we can create PREDICTABILITY for people with dementia?

Moving into a new environment or adapting to daily changes can be disorienting, but familiar sensory cues, especially aroma, can create a powerful sense of safety and connection.

The sense of smell is our strongest link to memory. When we use aromatherapy intentionally, we can:

āœ”ļø Build trust and predictability in daily routines
āœ”ļø Reduce agitation and confusion
āœ”ļø Create emotional bridges that help residents feel ā€œat homeā€

At AromaWell, we design clinical aromatherapy programs that help senior living and memory care communities use scent as a compassionate care tool—restoring calm, comfort, and connection through familiarity.

Because sometimes, the smallest things like a smell, a moment, or a memory make the biggest impact.

The most important work in care environments is often invisible.

In senior living, healthcare, and hospitality spaces, women are often the stabilizing force behind the scenes.

They de-escalate tension.
Support residents and families through vulnerable moments.
Guide teams through stress and uncertainty.

And in many ways, they shape the emotional climate of the entire community.

Care environments are emotional ecosystems. When the people holding them together are supported, regulated, and empowered, everything shifts — for residents, staff, and leadership alike.

This Women’s Month, I’m honoring the women who quietly carry so much in our communities every day.

Your work matters more than most people realize.

šŸ‘‰Save this to remember the unseen work women do in care environments.
šŸ‘‰ Repost this to recognize the women holding communities together every day.
šŸ‘‰ Tag a woman leader or caregiver who deserves appreciation this month.

Women make up the majority of the workforce in senior living, healthcare, and caregiving environments.

They guide teams through pressure.
Support residents and families through vulnerable moments.
And often carry the emotional weight of entire communities.

That kind of responsibility requires something many workplaces overlook:

Nervous system support.

Aromatherapy is one simple, powerful way to create environments that help women reset, regulate, and recover throughout the day.

Small sensory shifts can support calmer mornings, clearer thinking, and more sustainable leadership.

Because when the women holding care communities together feel supported, the entire environment changes.

šŸ‘‰ Save this reel to come back to these wellness reminders.

For years, aromatherapy was dismissed as ā€œjust aroma.ā€ But aroma is the fastest pathway to the brain.

When inhaled, aromatic compounds travel directly to the limbic system — the center for emotion, memory, and stress response.

That’s not trend.
That’s biology.

At AromaWell, we don’t diffuse randomly.

We design intentional, evidence-based aromatic systems that support:

• Nervous system regulation
• Memory care environments
• Staff resilience
• Emotional steadiness
• Healthier air without synthetic chemicals

This is what makes us different.

We don’t install fragrance.

We engineer environments.

šŸ‘‰ Ready to design your own? Comment SYSTEM or DM me to explore what this looks like in your community.

šŸ‘‰ Save this for the next time someone underestimates aromatherapy.
šŸ‘‰ Repost if you're ready to shift the conversation in senior living.
