Hi there, my name is Krill and if I didn't exist most of the life forms in the Antarctic would disappear. I play a very important part in the regulation of the oceanic ecosystem and food chain. Hundreds of animals and species depend on me as a primary food source, such as Fish, Squid and Whales. I'm a Invertebrate apart of the Swarm group. Did you know if you took the weight of all the Krill in Antarctic and the weight of humans on earth, krill would outweigh humans? I am found traveling in a large swarm of other Krill looking like a cloud floating through the water avoiding predators in the Antarctic 320 feet below the surface. There are 85 various species of krill known broken down into two families: Euphausiidae and Bentheuphausia ampbloyops. I eat phytoplankton and my digestive system is transparent and visible to the human eye.
