PRACTICAL WAYS TO SUPPORT OVERWHELM IN MODERN LIFE:
* Pause deliberately — even 3 conscious breaths can reintroduce space
* Ground physically — put your skin on the earth, step into natural light, breathe, use your senses to reset the body
* Name the stressor(s) — labeling the feeling or trigger slows reactivity
* Is this worth my peace? — “What really matters here?”
* Respond intentionally — not reactively
I’ve created a whole guided 6 -week masterclass about this.

🪣 Your Body Has a Threat Bucket
Your body has a bucket that collects everything life throws at you — big and small.
Your body constantly asks:
👉 “Am I safe?”
When your bucket stays balanced, you recover.
But when it overflows, the body pulls the emergency brake.

Hi! I’m Lisa Lovely, M.Ed., Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Wahls Protocol® Certified Health Practitioner, Author
A Wahls Warrior of 2 years (as of January 2020), I experienced life-changing healing of my Multiple Sclerosis on The Wahls Protocol®. My intention is to teach others how to balance and heal the body, exchange hopelessness with empowerment, and share the impact that the Wahls Protocol® has on autoimmunity with clients and health professionals.
After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2011, declining for 6.5 years, then thriving for the past 2 years on The Wahls Protocol®, this dramatic improvement in my personal health led me to change careers to recently become a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) and a Wahls Protocol® Certified Health Professional in 2019. I have a Masters Degree in Education and taught many years in public schools up until I had to quit my teaching job in the Fall of 2017 due to my MS symptoms significantly interfering with my ability to do my job.
This page was created organically. When I first started implementing the protocol, I privately journaled to help keep me on track. As my family and friends started noticing my recovery and started asking a lot of questions , I decided to start this page to share with them what I was doing. At the six month mark, I wrote a thank you letter to Dr. Wahls, which was published on her page, bringing me people from around the world who became interested in my healing journey. I wrote a book about my healing journey, Seven Seasons, which documents my first seven seasons of healing using The Wahls Protocol® and continue to share my journey in the form of notes. I share posts that I find helpful in my own healing. I share things that resonate with me.
My decline and tremendous recovery directed me to an unanticipated life purpose of supporting others in constructing personal healing. Now I share my gift of teaching and apply it to holistic nutrition for autoimmune disease.
As I plan my future, I am first and foremost a patient and will bring this unique, empathetic perspective to everything I do. I understand the intricacies, the challenges, and limitless celebrations of implementing The Wahls Protocol® as I live this life. Combining my scope of practice as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner with the extensive knowledge I obtained from The Wahls Protocol® Certified Health Professional training deepened my personal understanding of how imperative diet and lifestyle are to addressing autoimmunity, strengthened my resolve to spread Dr. Wahls message of an epidemic of health to patients and health professionals, and highlighted my meaning and purpose as a health professional. I hope my clients are inspired by and benefit from my personal experience on The Wahls Protocol® as they construct their personal healing.
