Happy Anniversary to my favorite person!Two years ago we had a private ceremony on an empty beach in the Caribbean. I ugly cried during our vows even though I swore I wouldn’t. Then we island hopped on a catamaran with friends for 10 days. We hiked and drank piña coladas in St. Barts, had lunch at reggae singer Bankie Banx’s bar in Anguilla, got lost in St. Martin while trying to find an ATM, but then found a swanky piano bar and drank dirty martinis. It was the best time ever and I knew that we were going to have such a great life together. I feel so lucky to have found someone who makes me laugh everyday, who tickles me on the couch while we’re watching tv, and still opens my car door for me 9 years later, buys me flowers for no reason, cooks me dinner most nights, tells me I’m pretty just because, stops snoring when I elbow him, watches music videos with me and then makes me dance with him in the living room when a love song comes on, supports me in everything I do, and truly makes me the best version of myself. The anniversary gift for year two is cotton, so maybe I’ll give him back his sweatpants I stole when we first started dating...then again, maybe not. 😂

Hey what’s up you guys! I wanted to take a quick second to introduce the person behind the cupcake 🧁 that’s me! Over-User of exclamation points, Podcast enthusiast, Brunch advocate, Jesus freak, and True Crime couch detective. Here are 5 more random Fun Facts about me!

• I can only watch scary movies through my fingers. If a preview for a scary movie comes on TV, I pretend to be looking at something on my phone until it’s over. 🙈
• I prefer to eat dessert before dinner. I mean, we all know it’s the best part of any meal! 🍰
• Sometimes I choose the ugly colors at the nail salon because no one ever picks them and I don’t want their feelings to be hurt. 💅🏼
• I have an unhealthy obsession with throw pillows and throw blankets. My husband says I’m not allowed to buy any more. 🤷‍♀️
• My love languages are Frye boots, Carbs, and Harry Potter. 👢🍩⚡️

This recipe is near and dear to my heart because it’s one for the kids! Being a kid isn’t complete without cereal and Saturday Morning cartoons, but not every child is so lucky to be able to have that amazing Saturday morning combination that I look back so fondly on. There are lots of children out there who watch cartoons from a hospital bed, if they are well enough to even watch them at all.

This is why I’m so very excited to bring you this recipe! I had the opportunity to make these for you because General Mills and Costco are teaming up with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to support children in need at my local Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego hospital here in San Diego! Giving back is really important to me, so being able to buy a cereal I grew up with as a kid, make a fun recipe for you, and in the process help children in need, is a cause I wholeheartedly support.
