In their book The View from the Center of the Universe, Joel Primack and Nancy Abrams discuss humanity’s special moment in the history of the universe. We are living in “the midpoint of time for our solar system” when our sun and planets are about five billion years old. Around six billion yea...

Please join Rev. Dr. Matthew Fox, Skylar Wilson, Kristal Parks and the international Order of the Sacred Earth community tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24th at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern for our hour-long council meeting.

Mark your calendars as we meet on the last Tuesday of each month. Zoom information below in the comments!

Each time we've met to practice council over the past 8 years, we've enjoyed connecting with this incredible community as it ebbs and flows. Being present with one another within the sacredness of life is a powerful experience -even on Zoom!

Often, we feel grief about the destruction of our Earth while simultaneously feeling expansiveness and new transformative possibilities emerging. Sometimes there's a buzz around the incredible work that so many are doing to make our world more resonant with Earth while inspiring each of us to live our own unique Earth-centered purpose.

One thing that remains constant is that we often leave these meetings feeling nourished and supported in a variety of ways by a diversity of people from around the planet who care deeply.

We're calling each other into the presence of a new dynamic moment with unknown potentials for how to lean into the vulnerability of connection, our longings and our fulfillments.

What we are being asked to do as a species seems almost beyond imagining.

The challenges we face seem impossible even to the most optimistic humans. The end seems imminent. And yet, we know that this has always been true in moments of unraveling when a seismic transformation is taking place within the Universe.

We've seen that the way out of depression and despair is through love, gratitude, and aligned action. In connecting with others who are engaged in the creative act of seeing and becoming a consciously united Earth community we can motivate ourselves to give our all, again and again.

We are coming to identify with new ways of being with a new understanding of who we are and what we are here to do. As we lean into this process together, new possibilities become accessible to participate in our own transformation.

Consider the challenge of bringing life into existence! The Over billions of years, Earth has held space for rocks and then bacteria to evolve into whales, humming birds, and humans! The challenge before us now is equally gargantuan and yet all of the elements needed for this creative task of bringing humanity together in service of life are here now...calling us to rise to a new level of consciousness, to become a new species within the Universe’s and the Earth’s mind. Can you feel it? Either way, join us to enter into a creative process that can only happen within community!

This will be a time to connect in community around the theme of building and expanding a culture who honours the sacredness of Earth's life-creating processes. Our intention is to create a container for connection and networking with others who are putting forth the intention and effort needed to make a difference within these crucial and challenging times. We have also enjoyed providing a space for new people to join us to learn more about this movement and to share how they are being called to participate in the Great Turning of humanity.

In the past, we've had between 12-65 people join us from all over the world so the format changes from month to month. There will be time to briefly share what you're up to, what is present in your heart, or anything else that feels relevant to you and this movement. More than anything, this is a place to listen to one another and to reflect upon the creativity and love that is present within our extended network.

We have been discussing saintliness or holiness of late, as a counter measure to the smallness and hatred and pettiness and retribution that marks a big part of politics in our country of late. As the poet and farmer and prophet William Berry used to say, “fight the worst with the best.” And as ...
