Barry shares a candid perspective: sometimes the suggestion to pursue therapy has less to do with mental health and more to do with the fact that someone frustrates or challenges us. It’s an honest reminder that therapy isn’t about “fixing” people—it’s about growth, understanding, and meaningful change.

Conversations like this help families see therapy in a deeper and more meaningful way.

We speak often of honoring the Telos Mission. For the past 20 years, Larry has loved the mission at its deepest level. He started at Telos as a residential mentor, then was promoted up and across programs and departments. He has been a Primary Therapist, Clinical Director, Aftercare Director, Residential Director, and Director of IOP/PHP.

In his early days, Larry’s pride in his work was evident, as he willingly took on tasks such as mowing the lawn or organizing camping gear, demonstrating his commitment to our company in every way possible. He truly embodies the spirit of teamwork and service. Before Telos, his first career was in the military, where he served honorably in the US Air Force.

Larry played a crucial role in establishing our Geneva program, and his hard work and vision have a lasting impact on Telos. The countless families he has touched over the past 20 years are remarkable.

While we will miss Larry’s presence and contributions, we will always remember his exceptional character and the value he has added to our company. Do not hesitate to reach out and thank this man for choosing Telos for his ministry!

Please join us in wishing Larry the best in his retirement!

Words of Encouragement for Parents

“My advice to any parents who are starting to see their child struggle and don’t know where to turn—this is a perfect place to help get your child and your family back on track, at their own pace.”
This reflection speaks to the reassurance and support families find at Telos, where progress is guided with care, flexibility, and understanding—meeting both students and families exactly where they are.

This past Friday, March 20th, Telos U hosted an incredible Community Mental Health Fair centered around one powerful theme: connection.

From start to finish, the event brought together providers, organizations, and community members with a shared goal—collaborating to improve care and expand resources for those we serve.

Events like this remind us of the impact when a community comes together—not just to share knowledge, but to build meaningful relationships that lead to better care.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event such a success.

As part of our 2026 Commitment to Service, our team spent time giving back at our local Habitat for Humanity.

We had the opportunity to help price and label donated items to be sold and support families in need throughout our community. Every item prepared plays a role in Habitat for Humanity’s mission of helping people build strength, stability, and self-reliance through safe and affordable housing.

This hands-on service reminded us that even small tasks can make a meaningful impact when they support a greater purpose. We’re grateful for the chance to partner with organizations that uplift families and strengthen our community—one home, one family, and one act of service at a time.

Service is more than a moment for us—it’s a commitment.

The season is officially underway for the Telos Golf Team!

With tryouts wrapped up, our athletes have jumped right into practice—putting in the time, focus, and effort it takes to grow both individually and as a team. There’s a great energy on the course as they continue to build their skills and support one another.

This past Saturday, the team teed off in their first tournament in Wendover, marking an exciting start to the season. It’s always great to see hard work put into action, and we’re proud of the way our players represented Telos.

We’re looking forward to a season full of growth, competition, and great moments on the course!

Joe is wonderful—and his path to Telos was meaningful. During his freshman year, school became overwhelming. Anxiety, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges made attending classes and keeping up with assignments incredibly difficult, and his mother, Tiffany, wasn't sure where to turn—even after trying a specialized school for learning differences.

Coming to Telos was nerve-wracking, but it became a turning point. Looking back, Joe’s mom shares that choosing Telos was one of the best decisions they ever made for their son—providing the understanding, structure, and support he needed to truly move forward.
