Cervical Cancer Prevention Week

Cervical screening saves lives, but not everyone is being reached equally.

By improving access, building trust, and offering inclusive services, we can help more people take up cervical screening and reduce health inequalities.

If you’re eligible, book your cervical screening.
If you know someone who’s unsure, encourage them.

Cervical screening is one of the best ways to protect yourself.
If you’ve been invited for screening, booking your appointment could help prevent cervical cancer or spot changes early, before cancer develops.
And prevention starts early too. The HPV vaccine helps protect against cancers caused by HPV. If you’re under 25 and missed it at school, you can still get vaccinated through your GP. More: https://www.nhs.uk/tests-and-treatments/cervical-screening/

Cervical Cancer Prevention Week (19–25 January) is a reminder that prevention really does work.

If you’re invited for cervical screening, that appointment could help spot changes early, before cancer ever develops. It’s quick, it’s routine, and it could save your life.

Screening, vaccination, and awareness all play a part, but attending when you’re invited is one of the most powerful things you can do for your health.

If that letter or text comes through, please book and attend. Your future self will thank you. More at: https://www.nhs.uk/tests-and-treatments/cervical-screening/
