No, You’re Not Crazy It starts with something most women don’t expect to say out loud. “I feel like I’m losing my mind.” That’s what Stefanie DeFiglia hears when women walk into her office. Not occasionally. Consistently. “And they assume that there’s something wrong with them,” sh...

I think this is a great explanation of the importance of a whole food diet... and how your relationship with food can change once you understand the power of what you put in your mouth.

Food is not just calories, it is a set of signals that talks to every system in your body, your genes, your hormones, your brain chemistry, your metabolism, your microbiome, your mitochondria, your immune function. You are literally “coding” your biology with what you put on your plate. That is ...

What is Two Tree Integrative Health?

Welcome! Two Tree Integrative Health is a nurse practitioner run practice with a special interest in treating burnout, exhaustion, and fatigue. Why? Because low energy impacts everything... your ability to be productive and positive at work, your relationship with the people you love most, your ability to keep up with all the demands in your life, your feelings of self worth, and your ability to set goals and make plans. If you dread getting out of bed in the morning... if you can barely get through the day... if you have had it “up to here” with your kids by the time dinner is on the table... if you get totally overwhelmed with your “To Do” list, which never gets done... how can you possibly live up to your full potential? You’ve seen your primary care provider. You probably got the same care I used to give. Standard blood tests that usually “look fine,” with some non-helpful advice thrown in, like “get more sleep” or “try not to stress” or “eat better.” But how does that help if you struggle with insomnia? If you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or gut issues? If your hormones are all messed up? If you have no time?

I hear you, I get it, I’m there with you. My name is Stefanie. I am a nurse practitioner with over 14 years experience in family practice, community health/addictions medicine, and geriatrics/long term care. I started Two Tree Integrative Health to do what I could never do in a traditional practice... to take the time to find the root cause of my clients’ issues, rather than just handing out another prescription. No more band-aid fixes. How do I do it? I ask for a detailed health history, with all current symptoms and complaints. Clients can choose to upload any test results that may be pertinent. All this information goes directly into an electronic health record (EHR) with multiple built-in security measures. Clients can choose to see me via telemedicine, and schedule a video-conference call at their convenience. Or they can come see me in my practice in Easton, MD. Either way, we will talk about health goals, determine if additional testing is needed, and start a treatment plan. Not having to worry about insurance reimbursement means I can give you the time needed to find the underlying problem. In return, I ask clients to be committed to the treatment plan. It has taken a long time to get this bad. It will take time, effort, and dedication to get well.

It is possible to get balance back in your life, to treat burnout and exhaustion so you can be the parent/spouse/employee/business owner you want to be. And as you heal, you can expect some of those other annoying symptoms to improve too.
