To the parents who tiptoe into dark rooms at 2 AM just to make sure a number is safe…
To the ones who set alarms through the night because uninterrupted sleep became a memory on the day their child was diagnosed.

To the kids who pack glucose tabs and infusion sets instead of toys…
To the little ones who learned courage long before they should have needed it.
To the teens who count carbs when everyone else counts calories—who say they’re “okay” even when their meter says otherwise.

To the families who stop everything for a sudden low,
or feel that jolt of fear from an unexpected high.
Who navigate a life of numbers, calculations, and constant vigilance—
yet still show up for school drop-offs, sports, holidays, and the chaos of everyday life as if it were effortless.

Today, we see you.
Today, we honor the strength behind every scan, every bolus, every correction.
The children, the parents, the siblings, the caregivers—
every person who carries the invisible weight of diabetes that the world rarely notices.
