Today was a VERY EXCITING DAY! We hosted our first National Lottery workshop!

Hosted at the fabulous CafeatNetpark in Sedgefield Ceri ran a wired Tree of Life workshop and the results were brilliant! We had both adults and children getting creative which resulted in all the colours of the rainbow, each tree looked unique and a great time was had by everyone who attended.

We had another double feature at the awesome Field & Fodder today!

This morning Ceri taught a painted decor workshop to create super festive North Pole signposts (complete with snow!) and then this afternoon Helen was making wax melt advent calendars!

As you can see from the photos the finished products were excellent, the prosecco and festive hot chocolates went down a treat and most importantly everyone had a great time! 🎅🏻

Ceri had a great afternoon at a local ladies craft group today making festive rag wreaths!

As you can see the ladies did brilliantly. If you fancy having a go at making one of these sustainable wreaths for yourself Ceri will be at the net park cafe on Wed 19th Nov for another session, and thanks to funding the workshop is only £10 per person including all materials and festive treats 😉🥂🥧

So today was super busy with not one but three workshops squeezed in!!

This morning Ceri was at Field & Fodder to create proggy poppies, whilst Leanne was at the net park cafe for our monthly wellbeing group. Then this afternoon Leanne headed up to Field & Fodder for Jesmonite Christmas decorations.

All our customers produced some absolutely fabulous makes and had a great time - and us? Well let’s just say we love our job 😉

The key takeaway? Engaging in arts-based interventions, like knitting, painting or crocheting can offer mental health benefits that are nearly as impactful as traditional talking therapies. It’s all about finding a "peaceful place" and reconnecting your mind.
