Center For Holistic Feminine Experience Professionalism, Quality Makeup, tested techniques acquired from the il.makiage beauty school. Waxing enthusiast certified by Ravit Asaf beauty school.

Please Note: I am currently putting my makeup and waxing services to the side so that I may focus on exploring wellness and encouraging a holistic outlook on health in my community. While I am not a professional, I draw my knowledge from professionals, and often refer friends and women in my community to these professionals. I am also proud to be a Wellness Advocate of doTERRA Essential oils-- meaning I distribute doTERRA products and offer ongoing mentorship and workshops to explore how we can use these oils for the benefit of ourselves and our loved ones. I will also shortly begin providing some homemade remedies and superfoods. These will not be glamorous, but they will do the trick! Namely kefirs, broths, and butters. I am excited about where this journey is taking me, and I look forward to learning with you and spreading the awareness on how we can do the Mitzvah of keeping ourselves healthy in the best possible ways.

Friends, it's Chanukah and the miracles abound!

I have not yet made my for this month, so if there is a bottle or two of oils that you need to help you get through winter, there are still a few days left!

The awesome thing about life is that you find out more about yourself as time goes on. I have found out that I am not a good communicator-- which is pretty ironic considering that I spend most of my time content writing and supporting people in oil usage.

When it comes to things that mean a bit more to me in the moment-- the stuff that really cuts to my core-- I barricade myself in silence, and that’s not healthy. Considering that I am in a complete safe-space, and that I am surrounded by a husband and friends who support me and want to know what’s up, this tendency does not serve me in any conceivable way, if only to get over it.

So I took out my handy book and looked up “communication.” Lavender really stood out to me on the list. It calms the mind, putting you in that emotional safe-space where you feel secure enough to express yourself honestly and fully, without worrying about potential rejection or being unheard.

I apply this on my throat, back of my neck, and sometimes on my temples.

Lechaim to that!

Here is an oil I have really been appreciating lately: Basil, which my handy little book Emotions & Essential Oils calls the oil of renewal.

I have been feeling a little overwhelmed, which is perfectly understandable considering the plate-load that comes with being in my particular stage in life-- kids, jobs, business, finding myself. But lately it’s been occurring to me in different areas of life that, just because it’s natural that I should be experiencing overwhelm and fatigued, and all of the fixin’s that come with that, I don’t have to take anything sitting down.

So I looked up what oils help with overwhelm and low energy, and wouldn’t you believe it, Basil covers those bases. Physically, it supports adrenal function, allowing ebb and flow of the body, from rest to action, to run smoothly. Chemically, Basil supports the body and the mind while turning off from dopamine-inducing stimulants-- i.e. addictions and even certain negative habits like checking your social media every five minutes (which I may or may not be guilty of). Basil can help strengthen you emotionally to break away from those patterns, and physically it can jump start your energy to physically carry out your newfound resolve in deed.

I have been applying this on my back and throat, where the adrenals are located, as well as on the bottom of my feet with my On Guard, morning and night.

It also happens to be that this oil smells delicious when diffused with citrus oils like wild orange, or used in salad dressing.

I am excited to be moving into the more emotional-healing aspects of the oils. And this, and what I will write about in my next post, are my first steps.

Hi Friends! It's been a while. A reeeeeal long while.

While I have been learning more about Essential Oils this whole time, and have been integrating into my home constantly, I honestly miss creating that space where I can share. As the saying goes, sharing is caring, and even more so when that means giving my community the tools to better their physical and emotional wellness.

So let's just jump in and share today's journey.

The dreaded stomach virus has been going around for about three weeks, and our household has held up quite valiantly until now. Then yesterday afternoon the action started with my youngest, aged 14 months, and myself (I'll grit my teeth and admit it!). As I was hit with that first wave of nausea, I ran to my DigestZen (or as it is now called, ZenGest), put a drop in my glass of water, and drained it. Then I gave myself a quick tummy massage with almond oil and DigestZen.

Next, I made my baby a blend of wild orange, frankincense, and fennel in a roller bottle, which I applied then massaged onto her belly and feet. Before putting her little socks back on, I also added a layer of diluted On Guard, a roller bottle I am constantly refilling for the kids. I would be remiss if I didn't add that I keep a diffuser running all morning before school, and all afternoon, pumping out On Guard to keep everybody's germs to themselves

Stepping back for a bit-- what's in the DigestZen?

Anise Seed, Peppermint, Ginger Root, Caraway Seed, Tarragon and Fennel seed extracts.

This is doTERRA's proprietary blend that supports the gut, and helps relieve nausea, bloating, indigestion, and whatever other upset-stomach issues.

And because everybody knows that oils can chemically react with your body to support emotional health as well, let's look at what the book (the oh-so-awesome book that the wonderful Chana Frazin shipped in from America, featured below in the pics!) says about the emotional benefits of using DigestZen:

Flipping the negative emotions of overstimulation, overload, loss of appetite for food or life, apathy, to becoming well-adjusted and nourished, enthusiastic, and capable of assimilating experiences in a positive way.

Well my, my, this is certainly something that, as a mother of four with two jobs and a business, I could use!

I am happy to report that, less than a day after the symptoms began, I have gone for a jog, done some core strengthening yoga, eaten, worked, and cared for my kids-- all is good!
