Hi Friends! It's been a while. A reeeeeal long while.
While I have been learning more about Essential Oils this whole time, and have been integrating into my home constantly, I honestly miss creating that space where I can share. As the saying goes, sharing is caring, and even more so when that means giving my community the tools to better their physical and emotional wellness.
So let's just jump in and share today's journey.
The dreaded stomach virus has been going around for about three weeks, and our household has held up quite valiantly until now. Then yesterday afternoon the action started with my youngest, aged 14 months, and myself (I'll grit my teeth and admit it!). As I was hit with that first wave of nausea, I ran to my DigestZen (or as it is now called, ZenGest), put a drop in my glass of water, and drained it. Then I gave myself a quick tummy massage with almond oil and DigestZen.
Next, I made my baby a blend of wild orange, frankincense, and fennel in a roller bottle, which I applied then massaged onto her belly and feet. Before putting her little socks back on, I also added a layer of diluted On Guard, a roller bottle I am constantly refilling for the kids. I would be remiss if I didn't add that I keep a diffuser running all morning before school, and all afternoon, pumping out On Guard to keep everybody's germs to themselves
Stepping back for a bit-- what's in the DigestZen?
Anise Seed, Peppermint, Ginger Root, Caraway Seed, Tarragon and Fennel seed extracts.
This is doTERRA's proprietary blend that supports the gut, and helps relieve nausea, bloating, indigestion, and whatever other upset-stomach issues.
And because everybody knows that oils can chemically react with your body to support emotional health as well, let's look at what the book (the oh-so-awesome book that the wonderful Chana Frazin shipped in from America, featured below in the pics!) says about the emotional benefits of using DigestZen:
Flipping the negative emotions of overstimulation, overload, loss of appetite for food or life, apathy, to becoming well-adjusted and nourished, enthusiastic, and capable of assimilating experiences in a positive way.
Well my, my, this is certainly something that, as a mother of four with two jobs and a business, I could use!
I am happy to report that, less than a day after the symptoms began, I have gone for a jog, done some core strengthening yoga, eaten, worked, and cared for my kids-- all is good!
