CPD Event title: HypnoSober: Moving Towards Freedom from Alcohol
Brief Description Of Event:
Live Zoom Workshop
9.30am-4.30pm
12th January 2026
(an online self-paced alternative is available if you cannot make the live training)
Course provider: Dr Claire Jack, Academy of the Inner Mind
Course details
HypnoSober: Moving Towards Freedom from Alcohol
Cultural attitudes towards alcohol are shifting. More people than ever—especially at the start of a new year—are choosing to explore sobriety, whether through campaigns like Dry January, Stoptober, Dry July, or as part of the growing “Sober Curious” movement.
Yet many practitioners hesitate to work with clients around alcohol, unsure about their professional boundaries or how to approach the topic safely and effectively. HypnoSober is here to bridge that gap.
This live workshop offers a structured, evidence-based approach for hypnotherapists who want to confidently support clients seeking 30 days of sobriety. The HypnoSober framework integrates hypnosis with practical tools from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness. You’ll also learn how to apply a modern, mind-body-based version of aversion therapy—providing clients with a comprehensive, compassionate toolkit for change. You’ll receive clear guidelines about how to work with a client through four sessions, covering their initial 30 days, and guidance on how to support them following their initial HypnoSober programme.
HypnoSober aligns seamlessly with public health campaigns but also stands independently for clients who identify as Sober Curious and want a clear, supported pathway. Please note: this program is not intended for individuals with serious alcohol dependence or complex addiction needs, but is ideal for those seeking a guided, professional approach to 30 days of sobriety.
Course structure:
During the live workshop, you’ll learn about the physical, neurological, emotional and psychological reasons that can cause people to struggle with alcohol. Understanding the neurological impact of drinking provides the basis for understanding the significant impact of having a structured, 30 day alcohol-free period. You’ll learn practical techniques, such as MI for clients with alcohol issues and applying a sensitively updated version of aversion therapy, rooted in mind:body awareness.
In addition, you’ll have access to extensive online materials, so that you can revisit the course whenever you wish to. Your online resources include videos, client forms, resources, handouts, scripts, marketing materials and HypnoSober logo. You’ll have lifetime access to these materials so that you can revisit them as you gain confidence in this area.

CPD Event title: Refresh Your Hypnotherapy Skills
Brief Description Of Event:
Live Online Course
Saturday 16th May 2026 10:00 to 15:00
This CPD one-day Refresh Your Skills course is a practical skills day designed for qualified hypnotherapists who want to refresh, refine and revitalise existing skills to use in their practice. Over time, therapists can develop rigid habits, rely on the same techniques, or lose the balance between different phases of the session.
The course helps you to re-evaluate session structure, ensure your inductions and deepeners are optimal for the client, and refreshes key therapeutic approaches. These include CBT, solution-focused hypnotherapy, analytical therapy, NLP, regression, parts therapy and anchoring techniques. Evidence shows that therapists who are highly skilled and have the confidence to offer more versatile, client-based therapy, have a greater success rate. With an emphasis on up-to-date practice, a variety of useful, practical techniques, and balancing your own wellbeing, the day supports continuous development and self-confidence in your clinical work.
When you sign up for the course there will be the opportunity to add onto the agenda any topics or skills that you would like to revisit.
Learning Objectives:
To enable students to:

refresh and expand your use of inductions, deepeners, and suggestion techniques
revisit and have the confidence to practise therapeutic models such as CBT, solution-focused hypnotherapy and analytical therapy
integrate NLP techniques including anchoring, swish, reframing, metaphors, and fast phobia technique
use Parts Therapy confidently within hypnotherapy sessions
use various regression techniques effectively with clients
review and rebalance session structure for effective time management
develop and assign client homework, if needed, including self-hypnosis and tasking
enhance client engagement with tailored recordings and positive reinforcement tools
maintain ethical practice by recognising the importance of supervision, self-care, and scope of practice boundaries

CPD Event title: Solution Focused Goals
Brief Description Of Event:
Setting realistic, achievable goals with clients is paramount to relationship building, and helping them to be clear on what they want to achieve and how to know when things are improving. Solution Focused goal setting is a strength based approach to agreeing on expectations, and exploring what is helpful and ‘exceptions to the problem’ to empower them to work collaboratively with you to resolve issues. It’s an effective tool for exploring a better future, building coping strategies, reducing harm, measuring progress, and an empowering one for helping therapists plan interventions and sessions. Using this method will help with identifying personalised inductions and deepeners as a bonus!
Learning Objectives:

– understand how it fits with SMART goals
– learn about the origins from Brief Solution Focused Therapy
– understand how solution focused work fits so well with Hypnotherapy

28 January, 2026 – Emergency First Aid for Therapists

CPD Event title: Emergency First Aid for Therapists
Brief Description Of Event:
In the UK the HSE requires that all employers and self-employed individuals conduct a First Aid needs assessment. Whilst this assessment may only recommend minimum provision such as a fully stocked First Aid box and an ‘Appointed Person’, and the law states no legal mandate for clients, the HSE strongly recommends that clients are included in this assessment.

As a working therapist I wrote the course with this recommendation in mind. Many associate bodies also insist on First Aid qualification for membership.

Build Your AI Practice Assistant – Free

CPD Event title: Build Your AI Practice Assistant
Brief Description Of Event:
Self-paced online course (text-based learning)
For Qualified and trainee hypnotherapists
This CPD course supports hypnotherapists in developing ethical awareness, professional judgement, and confidence in relation to the emerging use of artificial intelligence (AI) within professional practice.
As AI tools become increasingly visible across health, wellbeing, and business contexts, many hypnotherapists are unsure how these technologies align with ethical, human-led therapeutic work. This course provides a calm, practice-first framework to help practitioners place AI appropriately within their professional role, without compromising responsibility, boundaries, or clinical judgement.
The course does not focus on technical skills or automation. Instead, it emphasises professional identity, ethical placement, reflective practice, and the responsible use of AI as a support for thinking, planning, and communication around hypnotherapy practice.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this CPD course, participants will be able to:

Demonstrate increased ethical awareness regarding the use of AI within hypnotherapy practice

2. Distinguish clearly between human-led therapeutic work and AI-supported professional activities

3. Identify appropriate and inappropriate applications of AI in a hypnotherapy context

4. Articulate their professional voice, values, and boundaries in relation to AI use

CPD Hours
Estimated CPD Value:

The course aligns with existing professional and ethical standards and is intended to support ethical awareness rather than replace regulatory guidance.
