This is a long post but my last for a while…take a moment to read why…you might relate...
After much contemplation I have decided to take a loooong Social Media Vacation or rather Facebook Sabbatical...not that I've been super active on Facebook but I am always thinking about the next post, what I want BodyBoost voice/message to be, looking at related posts and getting distracted - this has robbed me of valuable time and brain space during THIS SEASON of my life. Maybe you can relate...maybe not, but for me at present - trying to balance family, studying, working, training for triathlons and one too many 'emotional/personal traumas' has put me in the most severe stage of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) or, as we call it in my profession… HPA axis dysfunction 😳😁
Even though I know I don't really have to 'proclaim' it from the ‘rooftops’...saying it feels liberating – pressure gone and instant extra time 😄 So now I'm looking forward to investing valuable time into my family, close friends, studies, preparation for my Nutritional Medicine Practical Assessment in two months, journaling, reading, doing a Pilates course, learning to make herbal remedies and off cause taking extra good care of my nutrition and supplements that will help me recover over the next few months.
I am also going to redefine BodyBoost and when I'm back, write more about and hopefully help many who are suffering from a similar condition - IF...
- You’re sick of waking up in the morning and feeling like you’ve been hit by a truck.
- You’re scared you might have to quit your job one day when the fatigue gets too much to handle.
- You’ve told your doctor how fatigued you are every day, and the doc told you it’s all in your head. (What??)
- Your brain fog is so severe you can hardly pay attention at work anymore.
- You don’t know how you’d survive the day without a pot of coffee.
- Your anxiety makes you feel like you could crawl out of your skin.
- You’re fed up with being exhausted all day yet not being able to sleep through the night.
- You’re not losing weight no matter how low carb you go.
- You have trouble bouncing back from stress or illness...feeling you just can't cope…….
Then you might be somewhere on the ‘spectrum’ of chronic fatigue syndrome.
However, take courage…there are ways you can take back control over your health and recover the vibrant, boundless energy you know you deserve! ..
I am walking this journey now and am looking forward to sharing what I learn including my healing process (physical, emotionally, mentally & spiritually) and all the tricks and tools that are helping me bounce back and recover my vitality, energy, and zest for life!
