Did you know this about me? For 3 years now, I’ve been a health coach and mentor. Of course, I help people with their meal plans and weight loss goals, but that’s only just the beginning. The real passion behind my work and what I’m really providing for my clients is better health (mind & body), which, in my book, means truer happiness. THAT’s what gets me out of bed in the morning. There’s no feeling like witnessing transformation in a parent who knows they are prolonging their very lives to be around for their great grandkids. I’m so thankful I get to live this life. ✨How is your balance⁉️ I'm actually speaking of the balance of you - your WHOLE self -> body - mind - spirit.

All 3 affect each other and our balance can ebb and flow across them. If we don't realize one part is getting too far out of alignment, the other two can get pulled out of alignment with it. Ever wonder why you get a headache when you’re stressed? There’s a prime example of how your mind is affecting your body.
Have you noticed that when you don’t exercise, you feel depressed? That’s your body affecting your mind.

Mind, Body, Spirit means that our well-being comes from not just physical health, but from mental health and spiritual health as well. To be “healthy”, we must pay attention to all three aspects of our nature…mind, body and spirit. So, how's your balance? ✨

💫How is your energy level? 💫Many of us are feeling drained lately - emotionally and physically. How are you feeling? 🤗

There are a lot of things that can contribute to having low energy. Some are pretty straightforward like poor sleep, what we eat, lack of being active (or overdoing your activity), but also stress, anxiety, fear and depression. The phases of the moon (especially that beautiful full moon we had last night.

Here are a few things you can do to help increase your overall energy:

💥Get enough sleep - quality sleep. 6 - 8 hours of good quality sleep will help your body rejuvinate itself. If you aren't getting quality sleep, take some time to determine why (eating or drinking too late, too hot in your room, hormones, too much light, staying on phone too long) and make a few changes to correct.

💥Monitor what you’re eating. Sugar, refined carbs and alcohol can affect your sleep as well as your energy levels. Your brain does need fuel to function at its best. When your blood sugar level drops, your mind will start running on fumes and will feel fuzzy as a result. So if your head is starting to droop, eat a snack that will give you enough energy to take you through the rest of the afternoon. Snacks that combine protein with slow-burning carbs -- like banana slices with peanut butter, or granola with fresh berries -- are best for maintaining your blood sugar levels over the long term.

💥Stay hydrated (especially in the heat waves we’ve been having). Dehydration can leave you feeling drained and fatigued.

💥Get moving! Exercise is a natural energy booster, because whenever you do it, oxygen-rich blood surges through your body to your heart, muscles, and brain. Even if you can spare only 10 minutes at a time of activity will help keep your energy levels at their peak. Move around every chance you get, even if it's just to pace in circles while you're on the phone.

💥 Do something for yourself ❤️ Unplug, take a bath, read a book, meditate, journal, work in your garden, call a friend, go shopping. Whatever gives you joy and makes you feel good.

Are you existing or LIVING⁉️⁉️ I know for many years I was only existing. Riding on the merry-go-round of life. You know - get up, work, make dinner, work, sleep 4 hours, repeat. I finally realized I wasn't LIVING life, I was just going through the motions.

That started me on my journey of self healing - physically, mentally and spiritually. And I discovered a passion to help others do the same ❤ Are you ready to LIVE your life and not wake up one day and wonder where all the time went? Feel great in your skin? It looks like a lot, but (swipe➡️) it's not really. So simple yet delicious and great for quick dinners. I just used what I had available - butternut squash, brussel sprouts, onions, and purple cabbage. Spread on a line baking sheet, spray with olive oil and season with salt & pepper. Roast in a 400 degree oven for 30 - 40 minutes. Use as a side dish or over a warm grain like quinoa or farro.

Easy, delicious & nutrious! 💥
