Today, we pause to remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of others who also lost their lives, among them people with mental illness and disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and others who were targeted.

This day calls on us to confront the truth, honor survivors, and learn from history. The trauma of the Holocaust continues to reverberate across generations, underscoring the importance of mental health, healing, and standing against hatred in all its forms.

At NAMI, we recognize that remembrance is not only about looking back, but also about building a future grounded in compassion, equity, and care.

Today, notice your thoughts, emotions, and reactions without trying to change them. What do you observe about yourself when you step into the role of a witness rather than a critic?

Some mornings call for a reminder.

You don’t have to push through everything alone.
You don’t have to move away from discomfort to be okay.
And you don’t have to earn support by being exhausted.

Healing often begins when we move toward what we need instead of away from what we fear.

If today feels heavy, support is allowed.
And help is available when you’re ready.

❄️ Weather Safety Reminder ❄️

As sleet and snow move into our area, we want to remind everyone to take extra care today.

Please plan ahead, limit travel if possible, and prioritize your safety and the safety of those around you. Weather like this can be unpredictable, and slowing down is sometimes the most responsible choice.

Stay informed through local updates, keep emergency supplies nearby, and check in on loved ones when you can.

Wishing everyone a safe and steady day.
