This looks absolutely amazing - and pica- friendly. So many early intervention targets could be worked on in this activity - and I’m sure for many of our families and little ones it would be an awesome motivation for communication attempts!

Positively ABA works with children with disabilities and we are looking for someone to help us grow and manage our social media presence. We want to support our growing client base and share information with our followers in a fun and accessible way across different platforms and we would love you to join us through the government Kickstart scheme. We are thrilled to already offer one placement to an amazing young lady, and would love another kickstarter to join us in Bedford. We provide early intervention at home and school for children with additional needs and communication delays. We are looking for someone who loves to play with children, and wants to see them fill their potential and learn.
You will gain valuable experience of working 1:1 with children, using positive behaviour support and ABA therapy/teaching to teach skills a child needs for school, self care and communication. The role is varied, and no two days are the same.

We are looking for kickstart trainee learning and behaviour support tutors / ABA tutors in Bedford (x2), Newmarket and Bracknell.
We are delighted to be able to offer 6 month paid work placements through the Kickstart Scheme. Candidates need to be between 18-24 and receiving universal credit to apply. For successful kickstarters, once the placement ends there will be the opportunity to further your career with us as a Learning and Behaviour Support Tutor.
We are looking for enthusiastic and fun individuals to work with children with additional needs, using positive behaviour support and the principles of applied behaviour analysis. Do you enjoy working with children and helping them reach their potential? Do you have excellent play skills and motivation to help a child learn to communicate? Are you passionate about reducing barriers to inclusion for children with disabilities and supporting them and their families?

Kickstart placements last 6 months, and are 25 hours a week. Additional hours may be offered if available. Details can be found on the DWP site below. Hours are flexible as we build your case load, and will initially be a mix of working from home supporting us make teaching resources, crafts and play items and training/coaching and working directly with children for 2-3 hour sessions in their homes as part of a team. After school and some weekend working will be needed.
Applications need to be made via referral from your job coach. You can apply through the government's find a job site or be speaking to your job coach directly.
As part of the kickstart scheme, you will also receive job and interview mentoring and career advice from Adecco Working Ventures.
You will also receive in house training which will give you transferrable skills in childcare, early years and positive behaviour support.

Applicants will ideally need to have 5 GCSEs, (especially if you would like to stay and train further with us), and some experience working with children, it is desirable that you have some experience working with children with additional needs or challenging behaviour. You will need to have a satisfactory DBS through us to take up the placement.
Home Education and EOTAS webinar, including making the case at LEA/ tribunal for EOTAS . Could be very useful for those schooling at home, and wanting education otherwise as a placement to access funding and support.

Positively ABA is managed by Natalie Burnapp BCBA.
Natalie has nearly 10 years experience of providing positive support to children and adults at home, school and independent/community living environments. She has worked in the field of ABA and early intervention since 2009. She graduated in 2014 from Cardiff University with a distinction in Positive Approaches to Challenging Behaviour MSc. Natalie qualified as a BCaBA in 2014, and became certified as a BCBA in 2015. She began providing professional supervision in 2015.
