Jess toes the line tomorrow at El Cruce—three days, 100k, deep in the wild heart of Patagonia. It’s new. It’s unknown. And it’s exactly where our mindset coach belongs… out front, leading into the wilderness with curiosity, courage, and a whole lot of heart.

She’s spent 27 weeks preparing for a race that didn’t even release the course until days ago. But that’s the thing about Jess—she doesn’t wait for certainty to move forward. She trains for the moment, not the map. She trusts her ability to do hard things, to meet whatever rises with presence, and to keep going long after the mind suggests stopping.

If you’ve been listening to this season of the Awake Athlete Podcast, you’ve heard the whole lead-up—every insight, every shift, every moment of preparation that had nothing to do with distance and everything to do with awareness.

Jess steps into El Cruce not just to race, but to discover. To peel back another layer. To see who she becomes when the terrain is unpredictable and the only path forward is the one right beneath her feet.

This is what it looks like to live awake.
To live ready.
To say yes to the unknown with your whole being.

Go get it, Jess. We’re with you every step.

2025 is a 100 km multi-day trail running race in Villa La Angostura, Argentine Patagonia, taking place from December 1st to 6th across different groups. The event features three stages with challenging mountain trails, including routes around the Lanín Volcano and views of lakes like Lago Correntoso.

When life makes you slow down—hard.

I was living in Boulder at the time—running my web design business, training hard, juggling clients, money pressure, and three properties.

Pushing through was my default setting.
It didn’t matter if it was fatigue, stress, or frustration—my answer was always the same: go harder.

Even our dogs weren’t safe from that energy.

One day, our golden retriever Harrison refused to come inside.

I felt that familiar frustration rise.
I went storming out the back slider, down some temporary stairs—fast, fired up, and not exactly mindful.

One slip later…

In the final stretch of Ironman, nobody gets there alone.
Sometimes all an athlete needs is a hug — a reminder that they’re held, seen, and fully believed in.

This is the heartbeat of YogiTriathlete:
showing up in the messy, magical, exhausted, beautiful moments…
standing with our athletes until they can stand stronger on their own.

Community.
Presence.
Awake & Ready.

This is what we’ve built over 10 years — a community that lifts each other through the hardest miles.
Celebrate that legacy with us at Ironman 70.3 Oceanside this March.

Come feel the energy. Come be part of the story.

MEDAL MONDAY // IRONMAN ARIZONA // THE FINAL YEAR

Yesterday was the last running of Ironman Arizona after 21 years — and YogiTriathlete showed up with four athletes who embodied everything this community stands for: presence, courage, and relentless heart.

Philip
One of the originals from the early Boulder days, he returned to the sport this year with renewed commitment and a willingness to receive the success he’s earned. Coaching with BJ since July, he stepped onto the start line stronger, clearer, and ready. Yesterday, he proved to himself what we’ve always seen in him: worthiness, power, and the ability to receive.

Laura
Minnesota grit. Last year she finished her first Ironman here, and this year she came back fiercer—training in cold open water, navigating the mental storms that come with it, and balancing endurance training with Olympic lifting, where she qualified for nationals. She is redefining what strength looks like, in body and in mind.

Brendan
Also returning after last year’s first Ironman finish, this was his third attempt at the distance—and it took massive courage. The kind that chooses health over expectation, self-awareness over ego, presence over pressure. He broke six hours on the bike and gained the kind of experience that only comes from meeting yourself honestly on race day. He’ll be back stronger, clearer, and more equipped to navigate the hard.

BJ
Our co-founder, master coach, and example of what long-term excellence looks like. Twenty-one years in the sport. Twenty-three Ironmans. And yesterday—his fastest one yet. At 52, he broke 10 hours for the first time while coaching all three of these athletes through their own Ironman journeys. Leadership by embodiment. Commitment by choice. Heart, always.

This team showed what it means to stay in the work, trust the moment, and race from the truth of who you are.

YogiTriathlete is just getting started.

Nothing soft about IMAZ weekend.
It’s athletes. Family. Fire.

The kind of community that makes you train harder and show up bigger.
Keep it locked here—race day is coming.

Oceanside 70.3 hits in March and the team is forming now—consider this your nudge.

For a decade, we’ve existed where no one else dared go—the intersection of mindset and endurance.

If you feel the pull, answer it.

No air coming in.
No air going out.
It was like someone had removed my lungs.

Behind me: a wall of athletes swimming straight over the top of me, arms and legs thrashing, pushing me under, moving me aside.

Within 25 yards of the start, I was in the middle of a full-blown panic attack.

Not exactly the race I had pictured.

MEDAL MONDAY

This weekend at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Marbella, we witnessed two of our athletes race fully awake, fully embodied, and fully present.

Claire stepped onto that course with an unwavering mindset. Her run was one of her best yet — close to a PR — but the performance was only part of the story.
Her words after the finish say everything:

“I was fully in it. 120% unshakeable.”

That level of trust in oneself does not happen overnight. It is built through practice, presence, and choosing to meet the moment again and again. So much more is coming for Claire in 2026.

Kristen toed her first World Championship start line and found what many of us search for our whole athletic lives: peace inside the effort.
She met the ocean with calm.
She let the waves roll and moved with them, not against.
She finished with contentment — and that is a rare and powerful thing to experience at this level of racing.

This is the work we devote ourselves to:
Not just faster times —
but clearer minds, deeper trust, and joy in the doing.

If something in Claire and Kristen’s experience speaks to you — listen.
There are two paths to begin:

1:1 Coaching for athletes ready to go all in on their growth.

Endurance Squad for athletes who want structure, mindset training, and community support every single week.

Whichever path you choose:

We train the athlete, and the mind that guides them.

Awake and Ready. Always.

FRIDAY RACE WEEKEND

We’ve got two YogiTriathlete athletes lining up at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships this Saturday in Marbella, Spain.

Claire and Kristen have poured themselves into the work. They have shown up, stayed consistent, and trusted the process that brought them to this world stage.

Claire earned her spot at Oceanside earlier this year. Kristen punched her ticket at the final edition of St. George. Both races are demanding, honest, and served as the perfect foundation for the challenging and beautiful course awaiting them in Spain.

This course rewards strength, patience, courage, and a deep belief in oneself.

These two embody exactly that.

To Claire and Kristen — race awake, race present, and let your training speak for itself. You are ready.

Awake and Ready.

“I’ll do it tomorrow.”

We’ve all said it.
And sometimes we really believe it.

But tomorrow is just a thought.
And thoughts don’t train us.
They don’t strengthen our mind.
They don’t move our feet.
They don’t guide our breath when the nerves hit at the start line.

Only today does that.

The athletes inside Endurance Squad are practicing presence — not perfection.

They’re learning how to show up without needing the timing to be ideal…

without needing the motivation to be high…

without waiting to “feel ready.”

Because the work only happens now.
And the now is where confidence is built.
Where resilience is built.
Where belief is built.

If you’ve been telling yourself:
“I’ll join later.”
“I’ll get serious soon.”
“I’ll commit when life slows down.”

This is your gentle nudge.

Tomorrow is not today.
And today is the only place your future athlete actually forms.

Come train in the present moment with us.

Endurance Squad is open.
