Welcoming 2025 with my first magazine cover✨

So excited to share this with you all, as in this feature I discussed things I never have before. I deeply feel that when we are vulnerable and authentic we bridge deeper and more meaningful connections- and maybe just maybe help someone else who is experiencing the same.

Admittedly I never thought someone who looks like me would ever be on the front cover of a magazine!!🥹

Online is a hard place to be, especially because social media is place where comparison can happen naturally. It’s easy to get swept up in other people’s lives, and fixate on what we can’t control.

…What if we focused on the things within our control?

How we spend our time
Who we spend our time with
What language we are using
How honest we are (with others, but most importantly, with ourselves)

I’ve openly talked about my experiences with racism and bullying, specifically how it impacted my childhood and my identity. For so long, I felt like I didn’t have a community outside of my family that really accepted me for who I was.
