Making SENse Creative provides stimulating sensory activities to encourage and support creative communication

Making SENse Creative offers a unique service whereby we can do a range of creative sensory based activities including sensory art; table top gardening; sensory cooking; communication through touch; story-sharing and story massage. The provision is suitable for young adults with complex and profound disabilities; equally many of the activities are appropriate for individuals living with dementia.

On Wednesday 10th September I am taking groups to Westminster Abbey for a session of Bible Stories in Cockney Rhyming Slang. It is a free event and is from 11am to 12 midday.
Richard came and was very supportive, so I was thinking that I could make this a tribute to him.
Please let me know if you have any ideas and if you would like to join us and bring anyone you work with.

Hello everyone,

We are devastated to announce that Richard Hirstwood passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 21 August, after a long battle with cancer.

He will be lovingly remembered by everyone for his dedication to everything sensory & education impacting teachers, parents and students all over the world over the past 30+ years.

Hirstwood Training will continue to grow, providing training with the same passionate enthusiasm and energy that Richard would want and love with Josh, Lois and all of our fantastic tutors.
