Condition Highlight: Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement, coordination and control.

It can present as:
• tremors
• muscle stiffness
• slowed movement
• balance challenges
• changes in posture and coordination

But there is something incredibly important that many people don’t realise…

Movement is medicine.

While Parkinson’s is a degenerative condition, the right types of exercise can play a powerful role in maintaining:
• mobility and independence
• strength and posture
• balance and coordination
• confidence in everyday tasks

Exercise isn’t about pushing to extremes — it’s about consistent, purposeful movement** that supports the body and nervous system.

Simple things like:
• strength training
• walking and gait work
• balance exercises
• functional movement patterns

can make a meaningful difference in quality of life.

Every person’s experience with Parkinson’s is different, which is why support should always be **individualised, adaptable and empowering.

Happy Birthday to Me 🎉

Here she is… the little girl behind the woman who created Inner Warrior Awakened 💛

Sometimes I look at photos like this and think about how much has changed — and at the same time, how much hasn’t. I am still best friends with the other little girl in this pic, connection is everything to me.

That little girl always had a big heart, a strong spirit, and a deep desire to connect with people… and I like to think she’d be pretty proud of where we are now.

Inner Warrior Awakened was built from that place — a belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and capable, no matter their challenges.

This journey hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been meaningful, and I’m so grateful for the community that’s grown around it.

Thank you to everyone who trusts me, supports me, and is part of this space. It truly means everything.
