🌟 Wrapping up Valentine's Day at Sthembele Matiso High School was nothing short of heartwarming! ❀️ Our Valentine's fun talk-themed "Spreading love and ending period poverty" was a huge success, and this time, we were thrilled to have the boys join the party. πŸŽ‰ We believe in inclusivity and educating everyone on the importance of menstrual hygiene.

πŸ’ Teaching boys that they can gift their loved ones with sanitary products was a highlight, and seeing them actively participate in distributing these products to the girls was truly inspiring. 🩸 Let's break the stigma and normalize conversations around periods!

🏫 But our mission doesn't stop there. This year, we're committed to extending our reach beyond schools and into communities to address period poverty. Every individual deserves access to proper menstrual care, and we're dedicated to making it happen.

πŸ™Œ A massive shoutout to the Lady Talk Matters team for their invaluable support and collaboration. Together, we're making a difference! πŸ’ͺ Here's to our next activation and our shared goal of reaching 10,000 young people who are experiencing period poverty. Let's keep the momentum going! πŸ’–

This Tuesday we chose to go mobile! Tell your friends, family and neighbours the FemConnect mobile app is hereπŸš€πŸš€πŸš€

Through our and initiatives, we realised that not many girls and women have knowledge and access to technologies such as period trackers, fertility trackers, etc. especially those coming from disadvantaged communities.

We realised we cannot preach that we want to see all people have access to dignified menstrual health support. Easy access to reproductive health services and SRHR education without providing digital tools to all those who need them.

So this is for all the Mo’ghels we have worked with. The young woman we meet every day. β€œShe/Her/Them/Their/He”, all menstruators in all shapes and sizes. The girl who experienced period poverty. The young couple planning their future. This is to us embracing our bodies, managing our reproductive health and celebrating womanhood!

A week ago, our team visited Sthembele Mathiso and Oscar Mpetha Schools for our first engagements with the learners who will be participating in the Odity-FemConnect Period Poverty Intervention. The reception was amazing and the discussions were beyond our expectations. We were blown away by the talent and the conversations that young people brought to the table.
