Hi All

Had a bit of a setback with my last scans as I have had 4cm growth on the tumour on my lung. All the other tumuor are still there but manageable. Unfortunately due to this I am starting a 10 day, daily radiation as of this Monday with a small break followed by more chemo.

I need your prayers and support now more then ever as if this is not successfull I might be out of options which the Medical Aid will cover and after almost 10 years of fighting, financially my coffers are running empty. Having cancer is not cheap.

I will be laying low and might not respond to messages abd or calls as I need this time to focus, meditate and become one with the universe.

Weirdly enough I am not scared, I've made my peace with it I just don't have the energy to carry others through this. For once I am going to be selfish and focus on me and Damian, our needs will be my priority.

Thank you all for always being there. God is good.

PS At least I'll get to enjoy my 50th at the end of March. I see a seafood platter and cheese board in my future. Yummmmmm

The tattoo Shaz did in my honour. Love and miss you much my beautiful sister.

Hi Dr. Hall, my specialist, just called the one spot on my lung grew by 4 cm so I have to do radiation to shrink it. I'm on chemo hiatus until I do radiation but that should be within a week. It's why I'm so tired. I'll be good though. How you doing?

Love you all.

Because I could not stop for Death

BY EMILY DICKINSON

Because I could not stop for Death –
He kindly stopped for me –
The Carriage held but just Ourselves –
And Immortality.

We slowly drove – He knew no haste
And I had put away
My labor and my leisure too,
For His Civility –

We passed the School, where Children strove
At Recess – in the Ring –
We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain –
We passed the Setting Sun –

Or rather – He passed Us –
The Dews drew quivering and Chill –
For only Gossamer, my Gown –
My Tippet – only Tulle –

We paused before a House that seemed
A Swelling of the Ground –
The Roof was scarcely visible –
The Cornice – in the Ground –

Since then – 'tis Centuries – and yet
Feels shorter than the Day
I first surmised the Horses' Heads
Were toward Eternity –

Death, be not proud

By John Donne

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think’st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.

From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul’s delivery.

Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell’st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more;

Death, thou shalt die.

Hi All

Chemo time again. Treatments since my hospital admittance has been going well. Other then severe tiredness I have been doing ok.

Keep me in your prayers. Dr.Hall is waiting for clearance from Discovery Medical for my new cbd pain meds, Nabivex, I'll be the first of her grout go on this. Also new for it to go through medical aid we finally catching up. Anyone who knows about these meds please advise as I can find nothing online.

My mom raised us on herbal meds so I believe in it. Also those of you who knows how my mom died will understand my fear of being so long on pain meds.

Thank you all for your support.

Love you allπŸ’‹β€οΈπŸ’ƒπŸΎπŸ₯‚

Feel Good - Tackling Cancer with a Positive attitude ( Lira's song has become her mantra)

My sister, Charlene Morrison is a breast cancer survivor, diagnosed in on March 30 (on her 38th birth day) , 2012, and cleared the 5 year mark in 2017.

Unfortunately cancer sneaked back in and she was diagnosed on the 27 March 2018 with cancer on her spine, and she was operated on 29 March, the day before her 44th Birthday.

Currently she is in a Step Down Facility in Bryanston Johannesburg, and is mostly bed bound(due to her operation). She has to take it slow and not over do it and while in the process of learning to walk again are trying to come up with ways to keep her busy as well as encourage others to forward their Feel Good daily photo's.
