Our aim is to create awareness on autism and disabilities.. Joshua Sandy was born 2 months premature and weighed 1.7kg and was born on Autism Day. Joshua, now a vibrant energetic 15 year old boy, currently non-verbal and uses visuals or sign language, He started his own cookie business called Be MY VOICE ONE COOKIE AT A TIME

Every hour, a child with Autism is being born in South

Africa? Only 0.001% of our children with Autism in SA have access to beneficial education. Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction, communication, and by restricted and repetitive behaviors. These signs all begin before a child is three years old. Autism affects information processing in the brain by altering how nerve cells and their synapses connect and organise - how this occurs is not well understood. Joshua had twice stemcell therapy in Mumbai, India, Neurogen Brain and Spine Institute, a Centre for stem cell therapy based in India. www.neurogenbsi.com

As per conversations with Doctors so far...this operation is 91% curable, the therapy they do is ‘Autologous Bone Marrow transplantation’- meaning the stem cells are removed from your own body, separated and transplanted intrathecally (into your spine fluid - space around your spine) Since the cells are autologous, risk of injection is completely eliminated. This procedure is minimally invasive and as reasonable safe as any therapy can be.
