For over 100 years, International Womenβs day has been celebrated annually to highlight the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for gender equality, an end to stereotyping and discrimination based on s*x, and an end to gender-based violence. It also provides an opportunity to draw attention to women-focused nonprofit organisations and encourage people to support them.
The theme for the 2026 ππ§πππ«π§πππ’π¨π§ππ₯ ππ¨π¦ππ§βπ¬ πππ² on 8 March is βππ’π―π ππ¨ πππ’π§β. It aims to encourage generosity and collaboration to increase support for women through donations, advocacy, education and training and provision of resources and infrastructure.
