The List of People on Board The TITANIC...

The Titanic was presumed to be the largest, safest and strongest luxury ship in the world before it embarked on its disastrous maiden voyage in April 1912. All kinds of people were welcomed on the ship for its first voyage. The rich, the famous, the elite, women, children, families and staff of the ship were all happy to be on board. It was billed to be the ship that could not sink, but it did sink on its first journey from Southampton to New York. This was one of the greatest tragedies of all time. After the ship sank, two lists were presented at the offices of The White Star Company (the company which built the Titanic). The list was simple. It had only two sections: ‘LOST’ and ‘SAVED’. People came to read these lists to find out if their loved ones had survived.

Interestingly, before the journey so many things were important. Whether they worked on the ship or were on vacation? Whether they were rich or poor. Whether they were millionaires or peasants. Whether they were stockbrokers or not. Whether they were in first class or economy class. Whether they were men or women. Whether they had a lot of luggage or not. But after the sinking of the Titanic none of these things mattered anymore. Only one thing mattered- whether they were saved or lost. Dear friend that is how Eternity will be. A time will come when none of the things we have on this earth will matter. A time will come when it will not matter whether you are a man or a woman! A time will come when it will not matter whether you are rich or poor! What will matter is whether you are ‘LOST’ or ‘SAVED’ on the day you die and meet your creator!

It was said of Alexander the Great that one day, the guards brought before him an amazingly handsome young man. Alexander yelled from his seat, “What is his charge?” The guard said “COWARDICE SIR! He ran from battle, deserted his combats and fled from his duty!” The very idea of desertion incensed the great ruler but looking at the young man, he asks, “Soldier, what is your name?” Trembling in the harsh grasp of the guards he stammered “M-my n-name is Alexander, S-sir”. Alexander the Great jumped to his feet raced from his throne to the young man and screamed “WHAT IS YOUR NAME?” “M-my n-n-na-name i-is Al-Alexander, Sir”.

Grabbing the boy by his collar, Alexander replied “Soldier! You either change your character OR YOU CHANGE YOUR NAME!”

If you profess to be a Christian, your character must resemble that of Christ. You are either like Christ or you are none of His. While on earth, He was meek, lowly, holy, loving, compassionate, consecrated and dedicated to doing the will and work of God. How about you? Brazil's defeat in the ongoing world cup has convinced me that 'despite how many times you've won, people will only remember the one time you lose.'

For your information, is the only nation that has won the FIFA world cup 5 times. Brazil is the only country that has played in every tournament of FIFA world cup. Currently, Brazil is FIFA's most successful team.

Oh! How People do not care about your history of victories when celebrating your failure. They don't care how many times you got it right when talking about the one time you got it wrong.

This is why it is foolishness to live for the validation of people. They will value you today and villify you tomorrow. I choose to live based on personal convictions and not public opinion.

THIS GENERATION....
I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to figure out the difference between what Aaron did in the wilderness and what we are doing in the church today.

When Moses climbed the mountain to get the commandments, Aaron in his quest to help the people's desperation asked them to give him their gold ornaments and he transformed their 'gold into their god'.

In this generation, in our quest to solve the problem of the people, we ask them to give us their 'silver and gold', when they do, we mould their gold into a new god for them: the god that will never condemn their evil...the god that will bless the offering of fraudsters and prostitutes, encouraging them through our prophetic prayers to continue in their wickedness...the god that will never tell them where they're getting it wrong...the god that will only give them sweet prophecies of prosperity and great life and never warn them of the reality of hell...the god made out of gold...the god of this generation.

Alas! the fellows who do not have gold do not have access to this 'god'. No wonder some of us will not give you attention if you have not sowed a powerful seed into our lives. We remind you that the oil on our head is expensive and can only be accessed through seeds. We can not be your 'father' unless you make our bank accounts 'fatter'. It is that serious.

Church, I am afraid that we might have arrived in that generation whose god is made out of gold and whose belly is their god...With the way things are going, very soon, poor Christians will be viewed as 'unholy and ungodly'...If we do not have a rethink, we will end up in church history as the generation who worshiped 'gold' and thought they worshiped 'god'...How is it that appearing on TV, driving powerful cars and flying 1st class/Pee-Jets has become our yardsticks to measure a Priest's anointing?...Every day my concern for this generation heightens...I keep praying that "God preserves the elect from the ruins in this age until the appearance of His dear Son...lest we preach this gospel and be cast away". Let me hear you say "God forbid"!

Conflict Resolution in the Church: What I learnt from Noah's Ark.

You remember NOAH's ark? Do you realise in that ark were all kinds of animals- Carnivorous and Herbivorous, Lions and lambs, snakes and rats, crocodile and tilapia, birds and insects, the list goes on yet these animals stayed together without biting/back-biting each other until the flood stopped.
In the church today, you see two Christians who are not talking to each other. Two pastors who are enemies. Church leaders in a cold war. Choir members back-biting each other. And I just feel we must learn from Noah's Ark...How could those animals of different species stay peacefully without any record of casualties until the flood stopped?
One thing came to my spirit: *They learnt how NOT to cross boundaries.* The lamb knew that the nature of the Lion makes him devour fellow animals when he is hungry so I believe that the lamb drew boundaries with the Lion.

I have said it several times, the church is a 'Rehab Centre'. There is no Normal person in the church, we are just a bunch of imperfect people redeemed by Grace and crafted to the church for rehabilitation and perfection.
So its an error to expect any of us to be everything sweet and nice. Understand that we all got issues and try to know when not to cross boundaries.
If Noah's ark can house all the saved creatures on earth in Noah's time, I believe the church is anointed enough to house all the saved imperfect people until Rapture.

The church is ONE...Let Brotherly love continue!
