AXLE MATE - Wheel Bearing Protectors and trailer services Axle mate came about when i stood one to many time at the side of the road with a collapse wheel bearing on my trailer , and i looked after the bearings.

.Axle Mate is a high quality, stainless steel , wheel bearing protector designed for all types of recreational trailers .Boat, caravans, horse boxes, off road etc etc ....Whatever you tow axle mate will keep your bearings turning and save you money Could not understand how the water got into the hubs. Had a look what was in the market , and was not happy as there was not a straight fit system , you either had to mod your hubs or the product. So we made a set of HIGH QUALITY SS lubricators that will fit straight onto the major SA trailer axles suppliers hubs

That was Fed 2009 - now at 2023 we are on MK4 which has a cover , tell tale, and a clamp nut for the nipple and have over 400 sets on trailers. Some trailers have been 7 years and longer on the same set of bearings and I hear of guys that have done over 50 000 km on the same set of bearings

Update on next production run

Agw new stock will be available middle November......there will be around a 10 percent price increase.. HOWEVER..as I always do , I will let 15 sets go at the old price to thosr who book and pay a 50 percent securing fee.

Guys old fuel , stale fuel, contaminated fuel has the ability to really cause damage, to a four stroke or hpdi two stroke motor....

Pics are of the fuel pumps of motors that have had bad fuel....one is completely shot and the other although working is gonna be dead soon..

Injectors are being cleaned as a matter of course

So let's put AXLE MATE'S into perspective.

I've had this boat since 2014, replaced the trailer wheel bearings then and fitted my AXLE MATES....

I have since replaced the rims, the springs (twice) and now had to fabricate a new rear section of the trailer, all due to rust...

Still on the same bearings.....11 years and they still good, even though the seals are shot....the least of my worries.....just keeps on going with AXLE MATES

Reverting on when next production run will be available, will be doing another 2 sizes to cover the new additions hubs in the market

So the range will be , 47,48,50,51,52,55,56 and 62mm

Safety post ....Towing speed

Guys what's the speed limit when towing.....hmmm.....come on..... you all passed your driver's test (I hope)..100 kmph...not 110 and most certainly not 140 + like I see some of the idiot boat owners towing

Why ,

Brake's guys brakes.., or in most cases the lack of absolute non existence of them....your trailers brakes are not at the same level or sophistication as your cars braking system...no abs, no active suspension.no anti slip and slide systems ... ...in most cases just half functioning drum brakes running of rusted cables or at best disk brakes running of a dodgy activation system from the tow hitch......it's NOT ENOUGH to warrent towing at high speeds and then having to gooi ankers in an emergency stop situation.................even at 100 it's iffy

And then let's not talk about repudiation of claims...your fancy car has active tracking, assessor pulls the report, ooh reckless and negligent driving, trailers brakes not there trailer not roadworthy due to above...and and and
.claim repudiated especially when you talking a bar or two...

Is the risk worth the perceived saving of a few minutes traveling time ???

If you thinking of converting your trailers axle to the oil filled type, rather fit axle mates

It's a tenth of the cost of the price of an oil filed axle and you save on instelation cost as there is no cost for fitting AXLE MATES( 5 min DIY)
