Uyinene Mrwetyana was a UCT student and victim of gender-based violence. Her life was taken too soon and dwells heavily on my heart. This story is deeply personal to me, being a former UCT student as well as sharing my hometown of East London with dear Uyinene. My heart goes out to her family, and all others who have lost their loved ones through this national crisis of violence against women.

Best Start Baby NPO is dedicated to creating awareness and providing support and counselling for families. We stand with you in solidarity 💜

Often, when we are preparing for our babies some newborns come early. I had the honour and privilege of meeting beautiful mum, Patience. Gently together we walked a healing ❤️‍🩹 and growing journey. I shared my knowledge skills and time and patience shared her life story with me and our small NPO team.

Recently I attended a fun community engaging event at Tea in the Trees, East London. The event - the POO 💩 festival organized and hosted by The Good Poo Crew and the Good Poo Doc - Legendary .

Did you know that your poo 💩 patterns tells us a lot about your health? Improving gut health and drinking lots of water can boost health and energy levels.

At the event, Nurse Judy Kirkwood and company had the pleasure of connecting and speaking with Roy Hewett, a previous headmaster of Hudson Park High School in East London. He said he could not believe the “INGREDIENTS OF BREASTMILK VS FORMULA” He was also surprised that Breastmilk is often compared to “white blood” for all newborns. Breastmilk is the brain juice for the human brain and developing babies. Breastmilk contains anti-cancer cells and stem cells. Mothers with HIV can safely breastfeed while both the mother and newborn receive anti-retro virals. There are millions of HIV free babies in the world 🌍 while their HIV positive mothers safely continue their medicines.

Please all men and women - continue to update your knowledge and skills on Breastmilk. Breastmilk is the gift of life to each developing child in the world. 🌍
