π€ School Transport Safety Awarenessπ€
In light of the tragic accident in the Vaal that claimed the lives of 12 precious learners, as teachers and parents our hearts are heavy. We extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, schools, and communities affected πΈ
As parents and caregivers, school transport safety is something we should never take lightly.
Here are a few important things to look out for and be aware of when choosing or using school transport:
π Ensure the vehicle is *roadworthy* and well maintained
πͺͺ Confirm the driver has a *valid driverβs licence & PDP*
π Ask about *supervision* inside the vehicle, especially for younger learners
β° Check that routes and pickup times are *consistent and safe*
π Make sure there is *clear communication* between parents and the transport provider
πΈ Ensure learners are *seated safely* and not overcrowded
Our children are our greatest responsibility. Let us stay vigilant, ask questions, and work together to keep them safe every day π
ποΈ **In loving memory of the 12 learners** β gone too soon, but never forgotten.
