MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo Ralehoko moved to Sebokeng Hospital to visit several upgrades aimed at improving patient care. She first visited the newly opened Mother Lodger Facility, launched on Monday, 17 November. Created in collaboration with the Dietetic and Paediatric Units and generously supported by Sedgars 🍼🤱. The facility provides on-site accommodation for mothers and caregivers whose children are admitted, helping to reduce emotional, transport, and financial challenges.
MEC also visited the Mental Health Ward, which is being extended to accommodate the growing number of patients. This expansion is part of ongoing service delivery improvements at health facilities across the province to ensure better care for all patients.
Finally, she toured the hospital kitchen, which has been renovated to improve service delivery. The upgraded kitchen will allow the hospital to prepare meals more efficiently and safely, ensuring patients receive nutritious meals 🍝 on time and supporting better overall care.
